Title: "A fair fight"

I was thinking today, just randomly, about the concept of a fair fight. And it made me realize that this is a way that macho-men self-perpetuate their own supremacy. The only way to win a fair fight is to be the ideal of old world masculinity, and if you're physically weak like say, a girl or a nerdy guy or even a person who doesn't enjoy lifting weights then you will lose the fight. And if you cheat with a nut shot, eye dirt, or trickery then you're a "wimp" or a "sissy" and you gain no status from your victory. This is also true in the rules of conduct in a lot of areas such as sports, politics, religion and whatnot. If you don't play by the rules they have set forward and instead use intellect, wit, and guile to win your fights then you will stay alive, but you will never make any gains.
Just a thought I had.
Just a thought I had.

Unless it's sport, fights shouldn't have rules other than one of them might get arrested.
I don't hear about people complaining much about cheap shots unless they were the ones who had it done on them. The truth is, there are no rules to a real fight. No one thinks about 'honour' or 'rules'.

This is a bit off topic, but as a mtf ts, I can handle myself against the guys, even if it means getting a beating, but the very idea of fighting another girl just makes me sick. On top of wanting to just be one of the girls & still pissing off one bad enough to fight...just line the guys up to use me as a punching bag. Physical pain hurts in it's own way, but emotional pain is a monster in the truest sense.

Rules are made by the people in charge to maintain their position of being in charge.

I do not like to fight. Never have never will but if some guy that is bigger than me picks one with me and I have a chance to kick him in the nuts I damn sure will do it. I could care less about the status of it. I just want to be the one walking away...very swiftly. :)

Ok this is a little long...
During a fight any advantage is a good one. If you're not in a ring with a ref or something similar - you have to do anything and everything to be the one who comes out on top. Speaking as someone who has been in too many fights - it has been said and needs repeating - there is only one rule in any real fight: WIN.
I grant - I'm paranoid but there are a few things that I do:
I carry a weapon at all times - in my hand! Knife, keys, metal body pen.
Watch for good ambush areas and avoid them!
Be ready to run. - This is kind of a no brainer.
Watch the people behind me when ever I can. After getting jumped in places like the bathroom, I developed the habit of watching the reflections of the people behind me.
I've been hit by small groups (2-5) before. My advice if or when you have more then one person fighting you is RUN. Failing that:
Try to prevent yourself from getting surrounded or backed into a corner. Go at the STRONGER target first. The stronger one can hurt you more easily. Thus stopping them early gives you a better chance, and putting them down will sometimes - but not always - make the others back off.
It doesn't matter who attacks you, once they do you have to assume they are out to kill you. Use anything resembling a weapon that you have. Make them really pay for attacking you - go for the eyes and throat. MAKE NOISE. Self-defense classes say yelling 'help' or 'rape' almost never get responses and suggest yelling 'fire'. Everyone will come to watch a fire but no-one will come to help or stop a crime.
Once you are out of the fight get somewhere safe and call the cops.
Everyone should take a self-defense course. Women, gays (which TS's are often viewed the same as), and minorities are common targets. Learn to protect yourselves.
