Title: My laser drama incident.
Post by: Washu Chan on November 11, 2009, 06:22:48 AM
I popped in to the local beautician to get some more IPL done on my face and I found out that my regular tech has taken her Christmas holidays so I got stuck with a replacement who decided that since I was not a real girl I would be harder to treat so she would have to charge me more for my treatment. I normally pay $150 for a session, but this woman wanted $420, needless to say I politely declined to pay that and left.

After I had calmed down I decided to ring the national skin institute which they are affiliated with to complain and I was told that it costs $160 per session for a full face treatment and they apologised and said that would look into the incident and get back to me and they booked me into their Brisbane office for tomorrow to get the treatment at the normal price.

Anyhow I am taking a trip to Brisbane tomorrow where I will get my session done and perhaps a bit of shopping as well, but I am somewhat annoyed that I have to drive for an hour (or perhaps more depending on traffic) each way to get it done this time.

Um yeah, $420 is a bit steep. Sounds more like this person just didn't want to work on your face for personal reasons so she gave you a price that was 1) More then you'd be willing to spend or 2) Enough that if you said fine she'd be able to get past your situation to make a good quick buck.

Have fun in Brisbane though :)
