Title: Cooooold

Well it's getting to be winter time here in the northwest again, and I hate it more and more each year. I try to use my gratitiude skills and appreciate the changing of the leaves and the beauty of the frost but meh, I miss Arizona.
Anyway I think I'm going to just sit this winter out and hibernate, could someone stop by and stick an estradiol tablet under my tounge a few times a day, I'd be really grateful, thanks :-*

Well you're up in the mountains and it is no wonder you are cold. Come down here to Portland where it is still cold, and wet, and windy. ??? Never mind, Sweety. My brain is running slugish because it is slowly turning to Winter.

I like the heat, I thrived in Phoenix. I miss being able to walk barefoot in the evenings, it's funny the things one takes for granted.

No that constant wind and dust is in Lake Havasu City AZ and I know what you mean, do you remember the DAY it rains once a year and everyone runs outside to see what's going on :) or midnight and 105 degrees and my favorite men showing off there smooth tan hard bodies on the beach :)

No, it's pretty much paradise. Things get interesting when the monsoons come but they don't hang around long. I'm a city girl though, and this redneck backwoods living is starting to get old. I remember the day I got off the plane in Phoenix, the first person I met was a cab driver who told me "Remember, everything you see is fake. If not for humans pumping water this place would be a desert again in a week." I thought that was freaking cool ;)
I've read about that sand, it's the result of development disrupting the natural vegetation or something isn't it?

I'd like to think I thrive in all types of environments but it's getting cold here in NorthWestern Arizona. I guess it's around upper-forties, lower-fifties and it get's around the upper-twenties at night.
Yes girl. I am freezing my patootie off!
I should be moving down south for the summer so I can't wait! Oh and kudos for that tidbit about what the cab driver said.
Had me tickled :)

We just had our second significant snowstorm. The first one dropped a couple feet; this one was just 8 inches, but colder. The mountains are beautiful. Skiing soon, once the snow sticks to the steeper stuff. :)

A foot of snow over the weekend and minus 5 this morning. It's going to be a long winter, but at least I can eat more and still maintain my weight. :)

Cross country skiing is a good way to keep toned and get a sore ass! I did it a couple of times and it's a very good workout! I used to borrow the skis from the college I was attending way-back-when and take maryjane and go skiing and marvel in how green my tobacco looked against the white snow. lol. I don't do that stuff anymore but I wouldn't mind trying out cross country again :)

Trade ya, but only if you introduce me to blockbuster boy before you leave. Wait, it gets really cold in Nevada too doesn't it? I'm not sure I appreciate this thinly veiled attempt to swindle me out of my ski trip in exchange for some magic beans.

Here in southern Texas, it's only starting to get cold, and by that I mean nights around 40-50 degrees.
Last year, the coldness of winter started late and ended early. In fact, it seems like it's gotten more and more tame each year.

We haven't had a good ice storm here in awhile, so maybe we're due. I remember a few coming through around thanksgiving in past years, but then again I remember sweating on dec 25 while I was outside too. Texas weather ::)

Wow I'm missing AZ too (CO as well for that matter, thanks Alyssa for mentioning the mountains :)). Although I preferred Tucson over Phoenix. I'm in Virginia where it barely snows, but it did just flood us out last week. Definitely not the same climate. I'd much rather have the "dry blowtorch heat" over the humid summers here.

Amen Sister to Tucson. I lived there for 4 years in the 90's. I loved it and did not really want to leave, but my folks were ill and needed me.
