Hmmm...could that be the same Paul McHugh whose christianist non-science is one of the go-to justifications for embracing the anti-transsexual non-science of J. Michael Bailey and his Greek chorus, Alice Dreger?

The entire NYTimes article is worth the read; it is rather long, but it firmly places McHugh in the context of the anti-bodily-autonomy cabal that created the conditions for the assassination of Dr. George Tiller a few months ago.
