Ooo it itches! :-\
Is there a way to reduce the likelihood of razor bumps when shaving my legs? I'm not at the point yet where I want to go and get them waxed, so have any of you girls got any tips? I'm very careful and slow about it...but they appear anyway a day or so after!
Any tips would be brilliant. :D

The simplest thing would be to invest in an epilator.
They are quite simple to use and fairly cheap.

I second the epilator, I haven't had any bumps since I switched. new razors can also help. you can also try to exfoliate before shaving, like a nice mild scrub (st. Ives makes a really nice apricot scrub that I absolutely love!). the red bumps are usually ingrown hairs and exfoliation will help prevent that from happening during shaving.

Another good scrub that is very cheap. Oliver oil and salt. Put about a tablespoon in the palm of your hand and add just enough oil to make a paste. Scrub it all over. Shower in a hot shower to remove. Then shave with a new razor and moisturizer. Moisturize afterward. You might also wish to use aloe gel to help keep the skin moist and soothes the irritation

until your legs adjust, don't shave against the grain. yes, you'll be stubbly, but biologically male legs are *always* stubbly unless you wax or nair.
you might also try an electric body razor to help, too. it will tend to leave stubble, but it will take care of thick growth so you dont dull your razor out in 5 inches.

After the T was done for awhile and the hair became softer, thinner and less coarse, I barely get razor bumps anymore. But before...OMG it didn't matter what I did they were everywhere.

I always use a heavy oil based lotion to shave my legs. i used to use razors meant for guys but they irritated my skin, probably because they have more blades.
anywho after shaving and washing off the lotion i apply a foaming cleanser, wash off then apply baby oil and there ya go! nice soft non stubly legs =]

Personally, I'm experiencing the opposite. My leg hair is now not readily able to pierce the skin, and I'm getting the horrible little red bumps that I've got on the back of my arms all over my thighs. :(
