Susan's Place Transgender Resources

Well, this is a board for any random posting so I wonder if any of you have suggestions for how I can dye my hair. Or, more specifically what pattern I should dye it in and what colors I should use.

I still have a lot of bleach powder and hair dye from dying my hair before. I can do any color of the rainbow (although I'd like to avoid pink, yellow and possibly orange. It'll fade into those colors anyhow.) Last time, I had longish wavy hair. Since it was pretty destroyed after all that bleaching I had to chop it off. Now it's really short, a male cut. And besides dyeing the whole head, I can't think of any good ways to do it without looking like too much of a jackass.

So any ideas?

I think we'll need pictures, if that's possible. Pictures are always fun. What color is it now?

I'm partial to pink and blue, myself; but pink mostly on girls. (I watch too many anime. Can you tell? ^_^)
I wouldn't know what to make of a boy with short pink hair...

Also, are we restricted to rainbow colors? Because brown and black aren't in there despite being quite normal-sounding hair colors.

Personal opinion, any color not made by a persons body looks .....not good to put it nicely.


mind you that is just my opinion. now about that rainbow colored hair.........purple is good?

Well, it's already brown/black because it's natural color right now. I want to waste this hair dye I have. Oh, and white is an option too.

Black with blue or red in the front. You can spike it up, fohawk it, or something like that. That would look good.

Ehm, don't know. I think it's pretty normal.

I know I'm ancient but I really don't like guys with dyed hair, as in primary colours.

Yes go darker or lighter but boys with colours look silly.

On guys, I've seen highlights put in that looked pretty good, but most guys would barf at the thought of dyeing hair.    What you have now is a good general purpose guy look.  Why mess with perfection ;-)

And you'll be unemployed - unless they need a Barista down the block.  Other people take you about as seriously as you take yourself. 

I dye my hair every month. I couldn't even imagine going back to having my natural hair color at the moment .___.

But yeah I'd suggest something either dark or light

Seconded  ;)

At least hair color can be washed out and/or colored over.  Its not like getting a face tattoo.  And hey, I'm thinking back to what my hair was like in High School, and what my kids looked like and I think every generation finds its own bad hair style.

You could always wait for the football/hockey/soccer finals then go with a temporary multi-colour in your team's colours.  maybe pick a team in every sport you can think of, and change regularly!!

Y'know, I might actually go with this one. I was thinking about doing it dark green all over, trying to be subtle. But hey, I'm on the track team. I'll do it green and white when season comes around.
