Title: Hi there.
Post by: june bug on December 26, 2009, 12:00:33 AM
2010 is my year of surgery... starting with voice, then GRS, then FFS, and I've come here to share my experiences, and bond through the suffering and joy of transition.

In the real world I'm a bit of a loner and don't know of many people going through the same experience as myself, so I figure it'd be a good idea to take some time now and again to post here, because I definitely could use some support.

Anyhow.

Looking forward to helping how I can and hopefully receiving a little love in return.  :)

Hi June, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 3800 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. :icon_hug:

Hi June Bug,

Welcome to Susan's. I'm sure you will find much useful information, very good friends with broad shoulders (figuratively speaking) to lean on, and the occassional heated discussion. I am very much hoping to make 2010 a year of many changes, hopefully all improvements, but always looking forward. I am nowhere far enough along to be talking surgery yet, but I have actually made more progress this past year then ever before.

Hey June,

I was wondering who you were going to use for SRS?  And what is the reasoning for your choice?

Dr. Brassard.  He's relatively nearby, I like the results I've seen and the things I've heard.

Hi June Bug, welcome to Susan's!

Yes, Dr. Brassard has a good reputation.  So does Dr. O - I am glad you will be able to see him before he retires.  Wow, 2010 sounds like an eventful year for you.  I'm happy that everything is coming together for you!

I think you will find that the people here at Susan's are a really good group.  Your being here even makes it better.   :)
