Hi, I'm looking for a solution to getting rid of some dryer skin that no amount of moisturizer seems to effect. I think this may a byproduct reacation of my current HRT of spiro and the winter season. The main effects are on the front of my shins, but it seems to be cropping up on my outer thighs and backs of arms as well. My liquid intake has been steady, but have been really hitting diet mode this year.

I am not quite sure, but in my case, the causes were two: one, fungal infection (you may visit a dermatologist's office), two, aging.

I have had dry skin for years in the Winter. I use Corn Huskers lotion and a Benadryl Creme. The Creme for the itching and the lotion helps with the dry skin.

I used to have SUPER OILY skin when i wasnt on hrt, 2 weeks in i started noticing that my skin was getting really dry and flaky. I find that Cetaphil lotion works really well for the face, as for the elbows ive been using this product made from Cocoa, its a body butter it works really well, i think it lightened up some scars i had too BONUS! lol. Ive used products with cocoa butter before and they all seem to work the same so any brand (or not brand) will do =P.
Corn Huskers lotion is probably the best solution actually! It might be a little heavy on the face though, but for the body its great!! =]
