No one has written here. I mean, yeah, it's all over the place, but still! Think of the newbs!  :icon_yes:

I used a good ol' fashioned medicine spoon. Cut the rounded end off at a 45 degree angle with a hot knife and you're set! A little practice in the shower to start can help, but if you're brave like me just stand and pee!   :icon_weee:

Used a medicine spoon, with and without a tube; and a travelmate. Preferred the travelmate, by far, because the receptacle is a bit longer, and slightly soft.

The STP I've been using lately, is a yogurt lid rolled into a funnel. The 'coffee can lid' thing I've seen tell of occasionally.  Easy as heck, never leaked on me once, and it flattens into my pocket or wallet better than a medicine spoon ever could, lol.

I use an stp called the ftm stud. It is good once you get used too it. I was only 45 dollars and look like an real penis in most lighting.

I use a "Shewee."  Hate the name, love the product.  I pack normally (just the regular Mr. Limpy) and either carry it in my bookbag or in my pocket if I'm not carrying my bag.  I keep it in a ziplock.  It took a bit of practice, just like any other STP, but I like it and feel it's big enough to use comfortably but small enough to carry without suspicion.  Because I use the stall (urinals are just too public to me), I wipe it off afterward and return it to the ziplock.  When I go home for the day, I wash it with just regular soap and water.  It costs £7.50 plus S&H.

From the Shewee website.  Just type it into google and it's the first one that pops up.  I've used it with briefs, boxer briefs, and boxers.  I think it's easiest with boxers just because of the (usually) larger opening in the fly.  I don't keep it in my underwear though so if you're looking to do that, this probably isn't the one for you but I've heard other guys that do it.

I wrote a thing a long time ago, it's on the Susan's Wiki, about this. Right now I'm using a marker hollowed out..carry it in my pocket. I can piss from it just fine.

OK so this might sound dumb but I have a question reqarding the STP...

Do you leave it constantly in place?

Like the spoon bit or whatever you use that's connected to a packer in the junk area between the majora?  Or am I totally lost here...

Or do you have to place it each time and if that's the case - how the hell do you do that at the urinal without guys thinking your playing with it?

I don't think that's a dumb question at all.  I've wondered the same thing myself.  It's pretty much the reason I haven't gotten a pack and pee.  I just don't understand how to use one.

I'm a chubby guy and I've got alot of inner thigh which makes it really difficult for me to get anything set up at the urinal. I go into a stall. I've got DJs PPP and I love it as far as a packer but I keep not getting the spoon lined up right and make a mess of myself, so I haven't really USED it outside of the house.

I'm actually andro not FtM...so it doens't make a whole heck of alot of difference to me...but I wish I could get the darn thing to work! As long as I'm naked I can get it set up perfectly but if I've got clothes on..it's a no go for me. Grr!

I'm working on losing some weight...hopefully I can get some of this off my inner thigh and have an easier time "setting up"

So here's my stp question.

How long did it take you to get the body to relax and be "okay" with standing up to pee?

Cause I've noticed that there's a Lot of muscle memory to reprogram. It seems no matter how relaxed "I" am, the lower bits are all "dude! you have to sit down!" unless I've guzzled a couple liters of water and waited until I absolutely have no choice other than to "go".

didn't take me that long at all, Miniar...though to train yourself you might have to wait til your bladder is really full so your body is forced to adjust for a bit.

As far as STPs, I failed badly at the medicine spoon and moved onto the Travelmate...and the slightly curved, longer recepticle is great. I'm still getting used to adjusting it through 2+ layers of clothing.

I am trying to think of a way to make an STP packer with removable recepticle so it would be more comfortable to wear when not in the bathroom...preferrably with the Travelmate recepticle, as it fits really well. Any ideas on STP packer harnesses would be great too, as I don't trust the elastic thing.

Jay, this is what I did before I gave up and took the STP out of the packer. Since the tube was flexible I just wore the packer like normal and the tube & spoon went straight up. I wear my packer against my skin so the tube went up and the spoon ended up being right above the brief's waistband. It was never noticeable and was fairly comfortable so it worked for me. Did any of that make sense? :-\

Radar, I usually tuck it away too - its just unconfortable wearing it in place for a long period of time IMHO!

Just wondering if there was some trick to either leaving it in place - eg. between your legs placed at the opening of the urethra so its there when you want to pee or is there a technique to placing it quickly without looking like your stuffing around in the mens?

Does anyone wear it place all day?

I put the tubing/spoon up &diagonal along the crease of where me thigh and pelvis meet. I remember reading it as a tip somwhere, and it worked for me. Its mostly comfortable &hardly visible.
When I go, I unzip, pull it out, push the tubing in place &go.
Its something you have to get used to, so ur not fiddling around so much with it.

I think its just a mental thing, I got the hang of it right away.
But I guess, it is like re learning something.
After so long of doing something one way then trying to learn to do it a whole different way.
When you think about it, its like starting all over.
But I relax fine, maybe you're just thinking about it too much?

I'm thinking that could cause some massive chaffing. You definitely don't want that there. Another reason I gave up using the STP is because I have a slight latex allergy and even the brief exposure of the urethra to the spoon caused burning. I was hoping the exposure would be brief enough to not cause a problem... but no luck. Oh well.

Yeah - PAIN - is exactly what I thought too! Was just wondering what was common practice I guess :) They have latex free ones now? I mean your not the only person allergic to it?

If there is a latex-free version I don't know about it. Sometimes it's hard to find out what the synthetic components of the STPs are made of.

Understandable... Just thought like you can't be the only one - surely there is medical tubing etc latex free for patients allergic to it. Just thinking out loud - and if there isn't, it can't be far off.

I use it at urinals all of the time.   

A side note on Miniar's thought...I did notice that while I didn't have much issue going standing up, I have to fight with myself to pee while wearing pants. My brain just says "um, you forgot a step" and it ends up taking 10 mins.

Standing to pee came naturally for me..felt normal. As if I should have done it all my life :D And I carry my stp in my pocket.

I finally figured out how to use a medicine spoon without pissing all over myself. Turns out I was just holding it too far forward. So, I'm now converted to that method. Another plus: it was free from the pharmacy. xD
I didn't like the idea of something I pee on being in my pocket all day, so I made a case for it. :laugh:

sorry i know i should have been paying more attention but i can't find the original threads. i am seriously considering getting a commercial pack n pee. which is the best? Not too bothered abt cost- I'll just start saving, but would like something that feels natural even if i have to close a door behind me but can still stand

Alex, I'm very new to all this, but I got the Mango STP and really like it. It took a little practice, but I'm pretty proficient with it now. I wanted to try the Home Grown Peter STP but I ordered and it never came so I got my money back form Paypal.
Mango was going through some issues when I ordered it last April but they changed management and are all squared away now it looks like. It was delivered to me about a month ago. I wouldn't anticipate that long of a wait with the ordering system and staffing they have now.

Yup, silicone tubing can be used.  Try either the hardware store or a pet supply store (check the aquarium/fish section).

FWIW I have a Mango 5.5" new in box I can sell .... I ordered it in Oct. 08 (yes, 08!!!) that just came last week.  Don't need it now that I'm having surgery in a few months.

I still wouldn't trust Mango to deliver on time.  I mean, seriously? 16 months to deliver a stupid STP???

This is an awkward question, but do you guys have this problem of incredibly disgusting splashing when peeing in a toilet while standing? Perhaps I am only bothered by this because I have not yet mastered it with my pants up, but I haven't noticed any mention of that particular annoyance before.

Need to improve your aim a bit.  ;)  But yes there can be some splashing, and  usually a few drips left in the stp device even after shaking.  But no different than if you had a factory installed penis...they drip too.

Quite true indeed :) However, the splashing I'm referring to actually occurs when I've aimed correctly. I do suppose you're right, though, that likely happens to those with the "factory installation" as well.  :D

I just got one of DJ's PPPs.  I love it.  I'm still learning how to use it.  I can get the recepticle lined up perfectly every time with my pants and briefs pulled down and pee into the toilet without leaking a drop, but I have to fiddle with it a lot to get it into place still and I can't get my hand in there to line it up unless I pull my pants and briefs to my knees, so I need a lot more practice before I'll be able to use it in public.  Which is fine because I'm *just* beginning my transition and I'm barely ever passing for male, so I won't be using the men's restroom until I get that squared away, which will probably take awhile.
