Title: ovotestis
Post by: Robin. on January 16, 2010, 02:46:31 PM
If an apparently anotomicly male person has an ovotestis is it possible that the person might experience a sort of cramp or sudden sharp pain down there that makes you want to curl up?

Why would that have anything to do with it? Are you being kicked?

I don't believe I have ovotestis, but I get very sharp pains there anyways. When I mean pain, I mean sheer excruciating pain which did not subside for at least 2 days. I'm pretty sure this is normal (if it happens quite often, there may be a problem. don't take this at face value: see a professional to resolve this issue, for I am no doctor).

Hi . Robin

If you or your friend is a bio male then no . that can effect only intersex in the context of whats being said . so there could be a number of reasons as to why the pain . if i am reading this right
  he will or should have a m r i . or a biopsy  or at the lest see  a G P .

if a 46.xy. male  could be a benign tumor. or gonad or a gut . detail . with out any history . & it could be a hernia .
with out going in to all the details . some thing is very wrong .  get it checked out ...
anyway just some idears

No Robin.  I have ovotestis and have never experienced sharp pains "down there".  A person with ovotestis feels the same as everyone else - the only difference is that they are producing both testosterone and estrogen with more of either one or the other.

The only "pain" that I felt was when my breasts started to grow - it was more of a feeling of tenderness than anything else.  Feeling a pain in your gonads could be an indication of an abscess or tumour, or worse.  I would advise you to see your GP about it.
