It depends on your surgeon. The only thing mine wanted me to do is shower before hand. I never had to shave the area in question, nor did I have to stop HRT.
It is a minor surgery and blood loss is at a minimum. Which is why they require you to stop HRT, to raise the clotting fact. Just make sure you have an ice pack at home. It helps reduce any swelling.
