Title: Hormones and physical changes

I was wondering when everyone started to see and feel the physical changes in there bodies. I have been on HRT for the last year and I have developed breasts to about the size of an A cup, but other than that I can not tell much of a difference. The estrogen level in my body is still lower than my doctor would like even all though he has increased my prescription three times over the last year and added and increased the progesterone level. She also added a testosterone blocker.
I take my hormones religiously but I do not see any changes other than the breast development. I do not see any other physical changes to my body or fae I still achive erections both during sex and spontanious all though the amount of sperm has decreased during an orgasim.
What is the time frame before others have started to see changes and to what extent if any problems with development have others had.

Everyone's different. I've had great results so far (less than 6 months) with my face, skin, and waistline - guess some of us are just luckier than others. :-\

For deffinate changes, the first time aroundit was 3 months... I had hit an A, my face softened allot, fat moved where I wanted it AND my skin was super soft... (Not to count the Wonderful emotional changes) This time around its taken about 6 months to get back to the same point..... BUT this time around Im not allowing myself to baloon like I did the last time ;D Age, Genetics, and allot of other personal factors make the diffrence in how well HRT works.... So I hope things work out for you and that you can ballance out the way you want *Hugs*

For me, the change happened six months after HRT. Like you, I did not think that I was changing any either, but people had begun to give me these hairy looks on the streets and in the men's room; so, that made me start to live fulltime.
As far as the changes I experienced, my breasts started to grow, my skin became less oily and softer, my face softened quite a bit and my libido decreased to nothing. Also certain things started to shrink and they are rather microscopic now.. ;D
erection? orgasm? and the rest? are these words in a foreign language? I guess you get the idea of what I am trying to say.. ;)

If I can remember correctly I started to see changes after about three months. I remember that I started to obsess over my development as well. I faithfully took measurements each day and entered the results in a spreadsheet that would produce a nice graph so that I could see my progress LOL. Needless to say the need to do that disappeared long ago :)
Each of us reacts to HRT differently, and likewise we each develop differently depending on how your body metabolizes the medications. Of course age, general health and to some degree genes play an important role as well. There is no hard and fast rules for how one should expect to develop as the days go by, and likewise there are no real benchmarks to measure yourself against. Consequently while it took me three months to notice changes it could take others 1 month, 2 months even 6 months to a year. Don't loose heart. If there are concerns that you are not developing then I would return to your Dr or endo to discus your concerns as dosages may need to be adjusted but blood tests would help them determined if in fact that is the reason development is not as expected.

I was looking back over my diary and I guess I started to notice changes in the first couple of weeks. To me this seems odd. However, as I have said in numerous other posts, my body seemed to have responded abnormally well to HRT.

Hiee,
I had noticable results up to about 6 months then everything began to slow down. It will be 2 years for me on December 13th and now in looking back my body hair ie arms legs pitts etc has slowed down considerable. I could prolly get away with epilating only once a month I suppose but every two weeks is a bit more comfortable. Body odour is all but gone. My face has filled out somewhat as well.
I can say though that since havng the orchie that my body fat has really gone into fast mode as to repositoning itself. I can see that I am getting that classic hourglass look and my bum is filling out and becoming rounder. My chest and rib cage have gone from a 36 1/2 to 34 3/4 and bust of 37 1/2. My thighs went from 19'' to 21 1/4' since having lost the 10 lbs I put on at the start of HRT my waist is almost back to 32''. My breasts seem to fit the underwire of a 'B' cup bra very well, but they need to fill out more in order to stretch the cup. The testosterone I produce now is more in tune with what a natal female would produce and way weaker then that which was produced by the testes. I have reduced my Estradiol by 1/3 and depending on my next blood work next month may reduce it by another 1/3.
Byee,
Brina
