CINCINNATI (CN) - A gunshot victim says he was sexually molested by a transvestite male nurse while he lay helpless in a hospital bed, and adds that the University of Cincinnati Hospital allowed his assailant to work dressed as a woman.
Dereco Evans says he was shot in the leg by an unknown assailant on Feb. 11, 2009, and taken to the UC Hospital. He had emergency surgery that day, and two more surgeries, on Feb. 13 and 19, then was transferred to the UC Hospital ICU Trauma Center, Evans says in his complaint in Hamilton County Court.
On the day of his third surgery, Evans says, Chad Thrasher sexually molested him in a restricted ward, as Evans lay "incapacitated and confined" to his bed.

CINCINNATI — A man hospitalized with gunshot wounds when he was sexually assaulted by a male worker dressed as a woman is suing University Hospital, police and others, saying they allowed Chad Thrasher to act as a woman, touch his penis, put lip gloss on him and kiss him as he was recovering.

Dereco Evans filed two similar lawsuits this week that focus on the conduct of Thrasher, 25, a phlebotomist who drew blood from Evans while he was hospitalized. Thrasher lived and dressed as a woman. He wore a woman's long-haired wig, a necklace, heels and carried a purse at the Hamilton County courthouse during his June trial.

The first article mentions a claim that the victim had been pressured by police to drop the charges against Thrasher, saying "he was making a fuss over nothing because he had not been raped."

o.O

In 2009, Thrasher was convicted and sentenced for these incidents, the charge being Gross Sexual Imposition.  She is currently serving an 18 month prison sentence.
