there are so many choices and options available now a days the question i have is. if you had someone completely new or just getting started with some counciling what advice would you have for them???

Trust your intuition. It is your best friend. But beware if fear, because it will disguise itself as a gut feeling.

I'm confused - what choices and options?
as far as council is concerned - be honest, realise that counsellors are not created equal and you need to find one you can create a good working relationship with.
