I epilated myself the other day, and my happy trail leaves red bumps more than any other spot. I seem to have this problem all the time and I asked my mom about how to take care of it. She told me it seemed too early to get ingrown hairs since then and told me to try an astringent. I checked out witch hazel online a bit ago and it sounds like it works.
Has witch hazel helped out any of you in the "happy" trail path of red bumps.
The bumps do look alot like pimples

Also try to make sure the area to be waxed/epilated is very clean. Even the smallest amount of bacteria or dirt will cause infection which is often what the red bumps are. Make sure to cleanse the are well afterwards as well.

Also exfoliate the area. And when waxing use baby powder on the area. Protects the skin.

Probably shouldn't use baby powder as it could get down into the voided hair follicle and cause infection. I'm not exactly an expert on it but that would seem logical to me. Unless you meant before waxing.... (https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cosgan.de%2Fimages%2Fsmilie%2Fkonfus%2Fa050.gif&hash=3aef94fddedef29723ac7cdc7d7a7cef91a72f6d)

Yes Cami, before. Sorry if I did not say that. Also I used Aloe Vera after to help with the sting.
