It really depends on the shape of your face.
Any frame off the 'men's' rack is going to be suitably masculine in itself, but some of them might feminize your particular face while others might masculinize it and the vast majority might just make you look ridiculous. You'll have to go try them on and see.
What I can say is that those of us with relatively small features should usually stay away from very large lenses or thick rims. Smaller might seem more feminine on the rack, but not on your face.

Just try on as many pairs as you can, in as many different styles as you can. Glasses look completely different on different faces. I don't think you should disregard specific styles because they don't suit others, they might look great on you.

I pass significantly better when I'm wearing the glasses as shown in my avatar. Really thick and chunky to cover up my pretty eyes and long as hell eyelashes :P

It depends on your face shape. I myself prefer the large, thick plastic frames. I have tried to wear wire frames or smaller plastic frames, it tends to feminines my face. Just try on as many as you can.

Ray Ban makes the most macho looking frames on the planet, for both sun and general use.

Rectangular type frames usually are.
I'd go for Ray-Ban's or some D&G.
Those are the ones I most see on guys.
And they make the face look more masculine.

@kyril - yea dude no worries. I got what you're saying just putting in my two cents.
Elijah, you can always try websites that let you upload a picture to see which frames work best for your face. If you need a link to one, just send me a pm.
I don't think the brand really matters personally. I've bought gucci and d&g pairs in the past, but they don't seem to last as long as the ones I buy cheaper. I've been wearing glasses for a long time.

I think glasses are like hit or miss and the problem is you HAVE to actually try them out in the store/eye place because its like the only way to tell if they actually work for your face.

When I recently got new glasses, I walked right over to the "Men's Frames" on display and picked some I liked (rectangular, black). The saleslady came over and suggested I look at some of the frames in pretty colors, gesturing at the displays for women's frames. I thanked her and told her I liked the ones I'd picked and that was that.
Mostly, you just need to try on frames until you find some you like, but I do suggest seeing if they have a men's display and looking at what the purveyors consider "masculine frames". They're often a bit larger in width since men often have a larger/wider skull.

Go to a store and try on everything. Even if you want to order online, trying stuff on in person at least gives you an idea of what looks good.
Even frames that look similar on the rack can have subtle differences in width and angles that change the way your face looks.
A general thing to look out for though - mens frames are made for wider heads, and therefore tend to be wider. Mind that. Frames too wide for your face can make it look even narrower (which may make you look more girly).
My current pair are just rectangular matte black wireframes, slightly thicker arms. They're on the small side for mens frames (though they are still mens frames). Nice and lightweight, subtle enough to go with business attire and still look professional.
Personally, I don't worry about brand. It's irrelevant. What matters is size, fit and finish (as in build quality). I've found most of the glasses I like (and that look better on me) are non-designer frames that come out of chinese factories.
No matter the brand, invest in a small set of screwdrivers. All frames need to be adjusted from time to time - screws loosen, metal bends and breaks in, and your head can change with weight shifts. Keeping your glasses sitting correctly makes them look a heap better without much effort.

I think the glasses you're wearing now suit you :). I wouldn't recommend round glasses as it'll accentuate your round face shape, instead go for something rectangular like you're wearing currently. Also try as many glasses as you can; even if you think they won't suit you.
*I also have to wear glasses

Thx for suggestion.
I was thinking of something plastic and wider frames for a change.

In absence of experts :) I will join as a laywoman. Only to add to the above.
Thin doesn't necessarily mean feminine. There are glasses where the frame is missing in smaller or greater part. I know a guy with such ones.
It comes down to preferences and of course shape of your face. The easiest for us here would be if you had some proposals to start from.

Hopefully I'm not too late but I'm also looking for new glasses so I've keeping my eyes open more (no pun intended). There's an ftm blog on Aydian Dowling's website point5cc that is actually talking about facial hair but there's a link on there to ftm guys with facial hair and on there it has a pic of one guy in particular who has a really nice pair of glasses that are kind of a 1960s(?) era look. I love them but I don't know if I could pull em off with my high cheek bones and pudge. But I agree that rectangular frames are good. Also maybe check out some pictures of folks who have similar facial structures as yours online and see if they have any glasses on that you like. I've looked at glasses websites as well just for more reference points for my taste and the style that might work for my face. Good luck!

Can't see the ones you're talking about. I have ordered my glasses and waiting for them now (custom lenses).
My new glasses will be at profile photo soon tho the photo isn't too good.
