Title: What is your gender?

I'm just curious about where I fit in here and interested in the stats of this community.
As much as would like to say I'm just male, I am FTM.

I guess I don't consider a state of transition to be a gender. I don't see legit gender status(s) up there such as bigendered.

My gender identity is male. My body's sex is female, my brain's sex is male, and my current gender status is FTM. When asked my gender, I will respond with my gender identity, which is male.

My gender is my gender, and it doesn't fit in those choices you gave by a long shot.

I appreciate your answers, I put "other" up there for those who want to add something else more appropriate. But it appears that my choice to use the word gender here is confusing. I was intending to get an idea of what the population was like here on this forum. I too know my body is technically female, but I do identify as male.

Male, on the basis that my identity (I assume that's what you mean by "gender") was never female to transition from.

Gender's in your head, sex is in your pants.
My gender's male.
My gender's male.

I realize I didn't word my question the way I was intending. I now see that it was confusing or maybe even insulting to some, sorry for that.

My body is male (and I couldn't care less what sex it was), but inside I don't think I have a gender.

I wouldn't recommend Spanish: the word has a male gender.

I wouldn't recommend Spanish: the word has a male gender.
"Nun-Uhh...itis an "ambidextrous" word that connotacts the usage for something in between...i.e. (a veces "male" y veces "female")...Un Andrógino...y since Yo associate mySELF in the male-gender... Yo uso la forma..."andrógino" (men) who associate themselves as females can put an (a) at the end, but because of the word associate form, it is a masculine word, but remember, ONLY in word association...so it's ok to say: Soy una andrógina (if you consider yourself a female) or, Yo soy un andrógino (if you consider yourself male)....¿ Entiendes...Tu ? ;D

The point being that androgyne is one who considers themself neither or both, not only one or the other.

silverfang -->>
To kat;
"Sooo what's not to understand...???" There is NO gender when you use this word either in spanish or english...[unless one feels as though they need to put it in gender form o/a] soo listen to what I am saying [because] "Soy andrógino" means that I or, [whom-ever is saying it] IS androgynous...it has nothing to do with the word standing as a "male-gender" if I were to say: I am a book in spanish it would be: Soy un libro, [also male form], however [again], it doesn't matter who says it because the sentence itself is neutral; Please don't insult me by saying "I didn't get what Silverfang meant..." Because the word is what it is in spanish, just as the word is in english [neutral]; and therefore, is not meant to denote male or female...but rather some-one that is neither female-o-male...!!! I think the confusion comes from the word ending in -o- [...and that is understandable]...
SOooo then maybe one should say: Soy Andrógino/a >:-)
