DEXTER, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Rick Bilodeau has a close relationship with his two children, Gabbie and Corbin. He is not afraid to answer tough questions about topics like sexual orientation or gender identity.
But when he heard that the Maine Human Rights Commission was suggesting schools let girls who identify as boys use the boys' bathroom, and vice versa, he felt that was going too far.
"I don't have anything against that lifestyle just, I just feel that if you're a man, anatomically a man, you go to the men's room," Bilodeau said. "And that's how I would like it in the schools with my kids and what not."

I really floors me how these "concerned parents" have the gall to be worried about their childrens' safety when really it's us trans people whose safety is compromised. Yeah, because a penis in women's room or vice versa is so much more dangerous than being threatened to get stabbed!
I've had issues with my school and my principal even went as far as saying that I am being an insult to every other female in the school by using the female restrooms. It's insulting how our safety and dignity is a total non-issue for most people. I wish people would stop being blinded by their cis privilege and realize just how hard it is for us.
