Welcome to the group. Sounds like your plate is rather full. Well you came to the right place. We have thousands of members with the same issue; gender dysphoria. We are almost like a family.
As a matter of security you should avoid divulging your age on line.
There are a lot of active FTM members here in all stages of transition. Some are in similar situations to yours. So stick around read the forums and resourse librarys here.
hugz and have a nice day

Wow....you have alot going on kiddo. I offer my support coming out is very hard. But since there seems to be alot going on with you I'd say you are right in not wanting to add to the drama. Wait till things are a little more stable, and research all you can. If you tell them later when things have calmed they can take it more seriously instead of blaming your coming out on thier split or other factors. Stay strong and welcome brother.

Hey, welcome to susans :)
Glad your mum seems ok with it, it's great to have a supportive parent.
It's nice to see another guy form the UK here :)

Quote from: Berren on May 11, 2010, 02:22:43 PMDoes the happy dance. That is the reaction all parents should have. Now take it nice and slow. As a S.O. I can tell you that rapid change is very frightening to family members, even if they are accepting and open minded. Even though I am trans myself I am not spared the feelings of lose and worry when I see my wifes transition being very obvious and neither is s/he when it comes to my transition.
Oh my god! I got my mum to tell my dad today, I was so worried, and he took it really well, which I am eternally grateful for. He even made some jokes about it to cheer me up because I was crying at the time haha. Wow, I feel so much better now.
As a translady who has a suporting family also I can honestly say they can be your best allys.
Hugz

Thanks, Cynthia. Though my parents are accepting, I'm under the impression that they think it's a phase that will just go away in time. My dad says that I'll have to have some counselling/therapy in time though. And though I'd like to start binding and appearing more male, my parents want to keep it on the down-low with the rest of my family before they think I'm 'certain'; either way, it'll be a few years before I can do any sort of change past cutting my hair and binding.
I agree, Nathan. I was thinking my dad would shout at me or something haha; obviously I don't know him as well as I thought.
