Title: No attraction to either gender????
Post by: justme19 on May 17, 2010, 03:56:04 AM
So I always thought that I was attracted to girls. But latly im not that sure anymore I don't really have any attraction anymore at all.
If I ever start HRT would that help?  Has it helped you?  Has anybody had any simelar experiences to this? What gender did you end up attracted to after HRT??
Also ive kind of lost all sexual desire that I have, the little that I had to start with..... Any experiences with this also?
So lost and confused again.... :P

Perhaps you are asexual.

Perhaps it is related to your health and circumstance.

Maybe you have just not found your type yet.

you'll figure it out eventually. Lack of desire it a normal thing.

I wouldn't worry.
It could be that you're at a point in your life where other things are more important to you, and your subconscious is telling you so.

Personally, I've never been sexually attracted to either gender, and I can't speak for HRT, so....  Anyway, just thought I'd add my two cents.

With respect to Nicky, perhaps you are just you.

You don't have a duty to be attracted to anyone. Just to find your own path.

Apologies for the apparently snippy answer. It's meant with the best intentions. I'm just not in the mood to write one of my usual long missives.

Trust me not snippy at all.
All I want is to fall in love though.... hmmmm

My own experience, for what it's worth is that that happens when you least expect it. generally when you're not really looking.

Loneliness sucks, I know. And trying to use physical relationships as a substitute just leaves you feeling cheap.

But I think we each also need to send out the right signals. Figuring out what they are and the difference between saying you are ready to love and you are ready to be laid can be a problem.

^^this ...yeah hormones really do kill it down there which is awesome, I remember every time I'd go to the doctors late teens I'd be thinking ask him about medication that will make me impotent do it do it do it!! ..so yeah now I'm very asexual. But still, I understand the attractions that I feel towards people out and about I just would never ever dream of acting upon them.. though hugging only my mum is starting to fell like not enough. Two or so years is nothing... right ?? >_<

Hormones killed it for me in the first six months, but then I switched to a more powerful anti-androgen, and went from oral E to injectable E. My T levels fell to within female range, but lo and behold, I started to become interested in sex again, with guys. 6 months later I still find it hard to not think about sex when I walk past a nice looking guy at the mall or something. It's a very different type of sex-drive to what I felt before with testosterone in my system, and I like the way I feel now much more. It feels more about wanting intimacy and wanting to be protected, and to a certain extent, controlled.

I'd been getting my shots at my doctor the first couple of times. Then I started doing it myself. The first injection I did I sat there for 15 minutes, and couldn't do it. Then I had to come back an hour later, and finally worked up the courage! Now I just prepare the solution and stick it in as easily as putting on a pair of socks.

It doesn't hurt at all, unless you nick a nerve. In fact, the feeling of the needle can be quite thrilling.

My sex drive has been died for 10 years or better.  Part of the reason for my marriage dieing.  I thought I would never be interested in it again.  I always was into women.  But now I have been becoming interested in men.  And my sex drive is returning, but until SRS I will not do anything about it.  I am just not interested in having that kind of relationship.

I'm more interested in guys now a days. But not all that interested. But when I fantasize it's with guys :embarrassed:
