TransGriot Note: It's time for another song rewrite. The idea for this one actually came from Ethan St. Pierre and Bet Power. I came up with the rewritten lyrics because I like 'errbody' else in the trans community is beyond sick and tired of being sick and tired of the bathroom issue being used to delay and scuttle ENDA.

From what I can see, the so called Bathroom Issue is based upon a claim that, allowing transgendered people to use a toilet of their prefered gender will put children at risk.
Perhaps Americans need to deal with this issue head on by asking some pertinent questions.
1. Are young boys at risk from using bathrooms designated for men?
2. Are there any cases of young girls being attacked in bathrooms designated for women, at this time, before this issue has been settled?
3. Since female bathrooms all involve the used of private stalls, where is the privicy/modesty issue?

Quote from: spacial on May 17, 2010, 05:36:28 PM::) I know but sadly it's hopeless spacial. We are talking about reason and common sense whereas I have been driven to the conclusion a long time ago that on this particular issue much of middle America is simply certifiably nuts ::)

The one case I have heard of where a woman was photographed while in the stall, was by a man, dressed as a man, not a transwoman. And the only other story I heard of was a Transman was attacked in the mens room by, a man. Go figure. It isn't Transpeople who do these things, it is cis-men.
There are perverted people out there, but it isn't the Trans community. It is the cis community.
