Post by: tori319 on May 24, 2010, 12:26:09 AM
I'm 5"8 and weighed 172 pounds, I've been trying to lose weight so that whatever fat I gain on hrt goes to my hips,I'm happy to say that as little as it is I've lost 8 pounds. anybody else trying to lose weight?

When I started I did not try to lose, I just did.  But this winter everyone kept telling me to gain weight for the hips and boobs.  Well guess where it went.  So I am now going to try to lose weight again and to heck with that gain weight for the distribution.

Oh I am 5' 9" and 158 lbs.

One of the most grueling processes for me just after feminizing face is weight loss. Slow and non-forgiving, after one year I have averaged 0.8lb per month. On the upside, not only have I lost weight but gained mass where it is most important. Hips, chest resembles that of a pre-teen or early teen, butt has really come along and I can now jiggle just like real mamas do, Oh la la :-) It seems tough at times, I use restricted calorie-snacking diet so lots of times daily but very little hand size meals. I got a long way ahead of me, just as you girls state your weight, it will take years the way it is going for me to get to where I think I need to be. I am 6'0" 197lb most of it is muscle weight so with testosterone blockers I hope I can arrive at 145-150 range. Oh, that would make so much difference although I do fit into US size 10 presently.

Yes! but it's usually the same old sinario, I loose the weight and start over and then the weight comes back in the wrong place again! and exactely where I don't want it in the belly area again!

How many calories do you eat each day, and how much exercise do you do? 13 months ago I started at 190 odd lbs at 5"8 and today weigh 136lbs. It wasn't until I started doing 1 hour of cardio a day, and restricting my calories to 1,400 to 1,600 calories without meat a day and also walking 60 to 90 mins a day briskly  that I started noticing a shift. On this I lost an average of 1lbsa a week for the first 6 months. I started E at the same time I started my weight loss programme. My hips have actually got bigger even though I havre been losing this weight, so I think it would be the same for you too.

I eat about 1000-1400 calories per day as far as exercise go I have withheld from doing so because of worry of gaining muscle weight which I predominantly have excess of. I do quite a bit of physical labor lately working on the house and making improvements and it is a workout. Installing hardwood floors, painting walls and ceilings, major revamp to the whole house so I believe I do get a cardio a lot , maybe even too much because I go for 10 hours at a time averaging 35hours of labor per weekend. With all that, I am still going at my pace of 0.8lb/mth
Throughout the HRT though, I have noticed a interesting phenomena. After maybe 2 months my leg muscles started to hurt a bit in inner muscle areas. At first I got scarred, I am on self med. regimen with all natural hormones, thinking oh no there go the infamous blood clots. But after checking blood chem. I was just fine with all appropriate vital signs. After another 2 months pain stopped and I have noticed reduction in muscle in my legs, Hooray! Again and again I had experienced same pain in about my body. I guess this is the way testosterone blocking meds work in reducing muscle buildup. I am just starting to experience bit of pain in my neck and upper body which if I don't die :-) will be awesome to see reduction in upper body muscle tone. (If I do die muscle reduction will be accelerated, lol :-) ;D
