Donna Milo is a Cuban-American, Republican, transgender candidate running in Florida's GOP primary for Congress who says she doesn't like labels, but she does believe in being an open book.

"I'm an American," she says. "I make my way on the basis of ability. My triumphs are based on my abilities, not on a label or a crutch."

Donna Milo may be transgender but that doesn't mean the Republican congressional candidate from Florida supports same-sex marriage or is a big fan of adoption by gay parents.

Speaking Friday on Michelangelo Signorile's radio show, Milo expounded on her far-right views. "I view marriage as a religious sacrament," she said. "I believe that marriage... is between a man and a woman."
