VIRGINIA BEACH -- Larry Bush is now Laura Rae Bush, legally.
The 44-year-old Navy veteran received court papers Wednesday making the switch official.
Bush, a husband and father of four, recently let fellow members of VFW Post 392 know she was transgender. The announcement came during a meeting when Bush showed up dressed as a woman. It created issues for some of the members, prompting the post commander to ask Bush to dress in proper attire for a man while Bush's first name remained Larry.

Yes it's a good article, but it's marred by what has been left on the page...
...the comments that were left toward the bottom? That is so typically arrogant, naive and judgemental. Why must people assume that just because one still looks like their birth sex pre-hormones that they will always look like that. It's so stupid and judgemental. I wish I could comment back and inform them, but on the other hand they won't listen or understand.
People suck.
