I asked this somewhere else and didn't get any answers. When I have my blood tested they measured my Sex Hormone Bonding Globulin. It was normal for a woman my age. Yea!! I haven't heard of anyone else getting this test. I kinda know what it means, but I don't know of its ultimate significance in achieving our goals.

SHBG is a protein in your blood that regulates how much hormone is actually available for absorption by your tissues at any one time.
It sucks up DHT and T more than E thus is good for regulating male hormones.

printout of my last blood test does not mention this SHBG but there is a Serum Globulin 30g/L listed.
I am due another blood test in three weeks as last week I lost the second testicle and need to know what my base levels are to decide what estrogel/spiro or other drugs I need to be on in future so I'll ask the endocrinologist about SHBG.
