I mean yes it's only been a week since, the date has past for somone to file a petition against my name change, and yes there there was a holiday, but frickin ' christ on a flippin cracker. Why is this taking so long? I would call, but like IDK which department I would call lol. I just want my name change so I can get eveything change and then my old name can just quietly go away. I hate the governement.

So I got my petition back, and it was offical June 3rd 2010 my name became Davis J. I'm super excited. And thanks aydan. I'm more stoked about this than I was about T, but everytime my shot comes up I get giddy. So they're both equally exciting. I want a birthday cake.

Good. I'm glad it came through. There's no really good reason it wouldn't, but that never seems to matter, does it? You just worry until you have certainty. Because the PTBs don't need good reasons to reject us or anyone else who doesn't quite fit into the usual boxes.

Friday June 11, 2010. I go in front of a judge that I am hoping to grant my name change.

And yeah I knew no one would petition it, but like knowing there was no hassle, was so relieving. So glad I didn't have to go to court. I tend to get unexpectedly nervous for some reason  :P

They must have deemed my petition....invalid....hmmph  :P

I TRIED to tell them...I dislike Jermaine....but they apparently disagreed...must be why it took so long to get the official paper work....they had to decide whether to grant my petition worthy or not  :laugh:

I am going to be doing my own name change here in a few weeks, and I am looking forward, and not looking forward to it at the same time.

Whaaaat? What official reason did they give you for denying your petition? If you're in the U.S., it's your right to change your name. What gives, Stacey?
