Title: Just placed order for my first binder!!!

;D So excited. I decided to go with a medium sized white 988. Which is the extreme chest only compression tank with a relaxed midsection. I can't wait to get it in the mail. Things were a little confusing with payments because I had to buy a moneypak card that works off of paypal so my parents wouldn't know. And I had to have it shipped to a friends house. But all the confusion and hard work will be wroth it hopefully! They say you usually receive them in the mail rather quickly, so I will let everyone know when I get it! Anyone else on here ever used the 988?

Congrats to both of you! I've never used the 988, but I heard it works really well.
Underworks is indeed quick in shipping out. I got my tri-top within the week I ordered, and it works really well too.

Good choice with the tri-top. I would suggest that one to anyone.
And I dunno about delivery time for the UK, but I'm sure it won't take too long.

Al James... I hope we both have good luck with our 988. Let me know when you get yours in. I'm having my delivered to a friends house, I'm going by there tonight to see if it's already came in. I doubt it has though. What were your measurements? What size did you decide to go with?

ive gone with the medium i think it might be a bit on the tight side but anything that squashes these flat has got to be worth it.

Just make sure it's not too tight. You can really get damage if it's too constricting. Be smart about it.

Good advice Espenoah. I was at the top of the scale for the medium, lower scale for the large. Mainly because of broad shoulders though. So hopefully it will only be a little tight. I wish it would hurry and get here!

As long as it's not painful and you can breathe, it should be okay. I think you'll be fine even if you're at the top of the medium size. I would be concerned if you went to a small or something.

Ok good! I watched a youtube video of a ftm who bought the 988 in a medium and he was way bigger than me. So I was like yeah I'll def. take my chances with a medium. I live in U.S... how long does it usually take for them to make it here from Underworks?

I ordered my binder so long ago I don't remember th exact amount of time, but I know I got it within a week. The time flies by as long as you don't think too much about it though. :3

I dunno, it probably varies. I might've been one of the longer ones for all I know. XD
But either way, the wait doesn't matter once you finally get it. It's worth it no matter how long it takes.

I'm still waiting to get the binder.. ugh I need to practice patience. Anyways.. all I ever wear is a sports bra, but when I wear the binder, are you supposed to wear it with or without?

Do let us know how the 988 works out. I've been thinking of ordering one for some time now. Hate my gut being compressed. Don't know if I would like a tri-top. I've already returned one in exchange for a double front. (ended up cutting it off to about tri top length anyway)
I need a new binder though, as my double front is leftover from before my reduction, so it hardly flattens anything anymore.

I always get a better result without. Besides, it's harder to get on with something underneath, at least for me.

I have the 988 but don't wear it often. I've gotten so used to the Double Front Compression Shirts that not having compression at the mid-section feels weird to me. I also think the 988 cuts alot into me, even when using a rash guard. That said it does compress well.

Hey Rowan.. I'll def. let you know how that 988 works out once I get it in!
Thanks Espenoah.. I was hoping I wouldn't have to wear that with the binder.
Radar.. do you think it's because you got a size that was too small? I def. don't want to be uncomfortable.
And that's awesome Al... for some reason I still haven't received mine. I got a conformation that it was sent out from Underworks on the same day that I placed the order. I'm getting nervous!

Caleb, it will be shipping ground through the post office from florida, so how long it takes to get it depends on how far from florida you are. People who get it in a day probably live in the south east.

Kyle, yeah I live in south carolina. That's why I was kinda expecting it to have already gotten here. Maybe the whole weekend thing is throwing it off though.

Caleb, no it's not too small. I actually am wearing it today and the longer it's on the more comfortable it is (even without a rash guard). I guess it just takes getting used to. I still prefer the 997 more though.
BTW I see you live in SC. Where at? You can PM me if you don't want to show it publicly. I'm curious since I live in NC.

It took a few days, not real long. After reading this thread it reminded me that I needed to order a new binder, so I did yesterday. :D I'll mention when it comes in.

I don't know what salt water does to a binder. Some other guys have talked about it before so you might want to search the threads.

well binders are here. just spent about ten minutes getting the 988 on which isnt as bad as the first time i put the 997 on. glad i went for the medium i think the large would be too big even with these.with a t shirt on im def flatter than ive been for a while tho at the minute the material needs to give a bit so i can adjust myself properly. also the bottom edge of the binding sits right on top of my stomach which a hurts a bit and b makes my stomach bulge out. it also digs in under my arms but i know i need to lose weight so thers my incentive. all in all not bad tho.

It wasn't there as of 1pm. But I checked the status of the package at ups and it made it through sorting at 820am and was sent out for delivery in my town at 850am. So I would imagine it should make it there by the end of the day!

i m a 40D and i just manage to get the medium on wore it for six hours last night and on the whole it was fairly comfortable, cut in a bit under the arms but didnt go thro the skin. getting it on and off was a lot easier with my partners help. my problem is when i look down at my moobs when im wearing it they look massive but if i look in a mirror from the side i look fairly flat. £hinking of going for a reduction tho

Though I don't have any other binder to compare to the 988, I love it. It feels pretty good except for a little cutting in the upper ribs, but other than that it's great. Compresses very well for me!
