I was going to write a different post. It was a bit more cheerful. But the cheer has left.
In the process of writing it, I learned that one of my T-Daughters has passed away.
She was beaten and dumped in an alley and left for dead. To many, she was just another Native gal.

Those few closest to me may wonder why Tae's death hurts so much. There was pain there, and frustration, and I really did try hard to save her from what consumed her, and I was fiercely protective of her in ways that she never knew, and I miss her and I feel guilty that I wasn't there for her at the end, thinking that maybe I could have helped her to make it through what I fear was simply too much.
