I will be 6 weeks post this coming tuesday and everything seems to be fine except, the swelling has gone down tremndously but my vagina is sagging. I can almost fist my vagina and twist it. Well the skin. Did this happen to anyone and did it retract and go up and if so, how long did it take?

sounds like vaginal lining prolapse to me, which requires "vaginal sacropexy" to repair.
Warning graphic video.

Missy, is it skin which is sagging or actual tissue/lining of the vagina?

oh i havent a clue. my vagina was tight and puffy afterwards and now it is as if someone has let the air out of a tire i suppose. the swelling has subsided tremndously and i am sure that what i am seeing is just the skin that hasnt retracted i am sure. i can grab my vagina somewhat. not the actual vagina canal but the lips i suppose is what i am saying, the fat part.

This has happened with a couple of Brassards patients. One patient even described it as looking like a turkey neck. Both went to Meltzer for revisions

Wondering why Dr Brassards patients wouldn't go back to him to fix the problem rather than going to a different surgeon??

Not sure, there could be a lot of reasons. Maybe Brassard told them that there was nothing he could do, or that it looked alright. Maybe they just lost confidence. Hard to say

I believe I know what you are referring to, it is called "labial laxity",
sagging of the labia majora .
Labiaplasty should be able to address it.

Hi Missyzanta
You need to go back and see your surgeon if it is possible, otherwise you will need to see an appropriate Doctor, Surgeon, Gynecologist to assess you situation. Because they are the only ones that will know exactly what is going on down there.
I had excess skin in the form of a nodule and it was removed by my surgeon sometime after my surgery (day surgery). I went home and I started to bleed down there. This resulted in me ending up in hospital. I would not let anyone touch it because they did not know about me and they did not really know what was going on down there. Eventually my surgeon came and I went in to surgery to have it fixed.
Take care, you will be alright and go to the 'doctors' and have it checked out.
Thanks Stardust
LMAO
Kind regards
Sarah B

In the video, is that tube like structure the vagina from inside the body cavity?

the tube is the urinary catheter, everything else is shown from intra-abdomen.

But in the very beginning of the video, that large tube below the bladder (like the size of the tube in center of toilet tissue, or larger) is that the vagina looking from inside the abdomen?

Thanks for the clarification. The video really helped me to better understand the vagina - plus I learned a new term: "vagina vault". That is where the treasure is kept, right? ;)
