Okay, so I have an acute sense of the obvious. But I just heard el Rushbo put a spin on the BP Oil Disaster that was so pro big business it blew my mind.
That anyone would try to make a claim that the crude oil billowing from the BP disaster site is not as bad as we think is simply unconscionable.
What the illustrious Rushbo said was there are quadrillions of gallons of water in the Gulf of Mexico and there have only been a million or so gallons that have spewed from the well. He equated it to taking a bath with a tiny droplet of oil and then said something like, "We'd just take our bath and not even know there was oil in it."
Sure Rush! Place a drop of crude oil in my bathtub and watch how fast I exit the tub!
Of course, there was no mention that oil and water don't mix. Gee, where have I heard that before? And then there's the fact that all those millions of crude oil aren't going to be evenly dissipated throughout every gallon of water in the Gulf. No, the oil will end up onshore, on wildlife and inside it too. And what about the people getting sick from the cleanup? If this oil is so harmless, what is making them sick?
While I realize this isn't directly TG related, I post this because these are the same people who are against ENDA, against DADT, against fair and equal treatment of LGBT people. They really care about profit but when it comes to civil rights? ??? Maybe they are too busy putting a spin on how they are doing all they are just for you, and lining their pockets along the way.
The Republicans, here for you when it's convenient and profitable. No ENDA! No DADT! No same sex marriage! Keeping America safe from the people who are trying to ruin it.
You mean like the oil companies?
BTW, if the latest estimates are accurate, the well has released over 150 million gallons of crude. I'll talk to Rush about that next time I see him.

flush limbo has no brain should have been the thread title imho.
the whole point of broadcasts by both the retarded right and sky-is-falling alex jones types is to drum up a audience for advertising revenue. where the message is more or less the same headliner style attention seeking with little substance.
the whole point is to resist change, at least change that would benefit all.
Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
too bad it wouldn't make limbo any more bright.

Wow...I always knew that Rush was a moron but this is pretty mind blowing. Here's an idea: How about we dump a barrel on Rush and light him on fire? That wouldn't be a problem, would it? :D

You should read the spin that is being put on it in the U.K, ie It's a little accident, these things happen, boys will be boys etc... But Obama making a big song and dance about it and wanting the company to pay something towards sorting out the problem, well that's just ridiculous as B.P profits are tied in with people in the U.K's pensions! (carefully omitting that it will also affect some multi billionaires bank accounts).
To be honest, I think that all sides are spinning this for all that it is worth and no good will come of it. I genuinely feel for the people whose lives have been directly affected by this act of gross negligence.
Even in the U.K we are aware of Mr Limbaugh as his bigotry and stupidity are legendary, however I do think that setting him on fire is a bit harsh :D
