I've been thinking about getting one, TBH it's a very useful and easy to use device which could come in handy for me if I jailbreak it and add some apps so...

What do you think about this new thing? Are you getting one?

I have the 3gs and found I can't stand the AT&T coverage. Dropped calls, inability to send text messages (often) so I am dropping them and going with Sprint and the Android EVO. The EVO walks all over the iPhone 4. Ordered mine the other day and can't wait to get it!

YES.

The android phone is a great phone too. But the clincher for me comes because I have an Apple macbook pro which I use to run my entire life, and of course I use itunes. So I like the easy integration between iphone ipad (yes I'm getting one of them too) and laptop.

If Android phones came with a handy music library system and easy syncing with the apple laptop then I would seriously consider them, but until then iphone 4 here I come.

Oh and what Apple did to the guy who exposed them is nothing worse than Microsoft have done in the past to other employees. People have short memories. All big companies do it and its not a good reason to switch your technology. I'm not saying I approve but the best thing is to just go with the solution which works best for you and leave the lawyesr to sort out the corporate morality issues because to my knowledge almost all big corporations get up to some pretty seedy stuff sooner or later!

I don't see what the big deal is. It doesn't seem to be much of an upgrade from the old one. :|

The next one is going to have a 3-D screen, trust me. I'll wait.

Also, possibly motion control. Those things are all the rage these days.

I have the 3g and love it. I'll prob get the 4 in Sep.

I use a Motorola i355 and tell people that I'm going to wait until it breaks to get me some G network phone.  I told them that at G3, G4, and I'm still telling them that at G5.  Considering I've dropped it (twice) from over 20 feet in the air, had it slip out of my pocket and fall into a bucket of water, had it kicked, dropped, and painted on and the thing still works years and years and years later I'm pretty much set on not getting on a G system until about G10.

I think the i1 is a GREAT option. Nextel is popular around here, and my dad just got one: It's just sweet :P

Pfft tbh I don't know which one to get: Here in Mexico, the best carrier is Telcel, which uses the AT&T network formats... so the only ones I can really use is, the iPhone, the Nexus One and a couple of Blackberry devices >_<

Yeah it is, and in the beginning almost all of us had one because of the walkie-talkie function, but I'm the last hold-out.  But I do need a phone that can withstand at least a couple of 10 foot falls, and so far I've watched some of my crew go through a number of i-type phones while mine keeps on working.

One of my first phones was a Moto i50sx, talk about durable... Mine sliped out of my hand at the top of a cement stairway and bounced all the way down to land in a salt water puddle at the tide pools... Still worked

i had a nokia for my first phone when i clicked the flip button it fell apart xD

I've got a 1st generation hand-me-down iphone and it does everything i need, so no upgrade to the new iphone for me.

When it eventually dies i'm considering trying an android phone.

I'm waiting for a white one.  Yes, I will be getting one when the finally figure out w/e problems they seem to be having.  I am getting too frustrated with the slowness of my 3G, plus the new one is pretty :).

I'm workin with a Touch Pro 1 from Sprint and I couldn't be happier (except for the issues the TP1 has).

I'm worried about WinMo 7 though. Looks like Microsoft is trying to get with the 'kiddy' crowd from the Today Screens I've seen. I'm more of a fan of the manila Windows CE standard Today Screen.

Bump for iPhone bumpers! (lolwut?)

So, apparently the antenna problem has no solution except using a case or a Bumper, which literally kills the looks of the iPhone 4, still, I like it with the bumper.

I'd like the black one, 32GB, and my Motorola ROKR Z6 is dying :'(

Luckily I naturally hold the phone along the top edges, so the antenna thing wouldn't be an issue for me.  Getting a free bumper is cool though.

Still waiting for the white one to come out. :(

Wait a minute, why does everyone wants the white one? the black one looks MORE elegant than the white version.

I agree, iPhone 4 in black looks better although I think 3G and 3GS looked better white.
