I wish I could come up with some really wise words right now, but I can't. Practically, if you can get out of the house, get some fresh air, get your body moving, it'll help. If you can call someone who doesn't mind you blubbering down the phone at them, do it. Write down exactly how you feel, and imagine you were advising yourself on what to do (as if you were someone else). See if you can write down three things you can actually practically do about your situation (or two, or one) and work out how/when you can do those things.

Hmm. That's mostly practical stuff. You're not alone. We may all be online and scattered across the world, but we're here, in our own weird way.

my ex girlfriend gave up and committed suicide over being trans and it has caused nothing but utter emotional turmoil since for everyone who was a part of her life. People may not seem like they care abut you, but they really, really do. Sometimes people (especially parents) don't know how to express it and do so wrongly in anger). chin up, friend. it's alright.   

Elijah, my heart goes out to you right now. I know how hard this can all be, and I also know that hearing that others have gone through it doesn't often help either. The only thing I think I'd want to hear in a time like this is:

This rough patch won't last. You've been through rough patches like this before and they've always gone away again. When you are feeling like yourself again, you'll be so glad that you didn't do anything dangerous, as you really do know that overall (even with its lumps) life is worth living.

Think of the person you'll be in 5 years or 10 years (whichever is more comforting) and think of how he'd feel knowing that he wasn't going to be given the chance to exist. Tough out this rough spot, and someday you'll look back through his eyes and go "wow, I'm so glad I made it this far".

I know it's not easy, and I know there's no simple answer. Do what you need to do to (safely) vent your feelings, whether crying, punching a punching bag or pillow, yelling, talking about it, whatever it takes. Also do what you need to do to keep yourself healthy, make sure to eat (at least a little), make sure you get some sleep, keep away from drugs/alcohol/self-harm.

You'll get through this bro, just take it one little step at a time and it'll be better before you know it.

Hey dude. I am not sure why you are bumming out this hard but I can imagine alot given what you have shared with us over time.

Elijah, you are awesome and one of my favourite people on here.  I'm really sorry you're feeling this way, it's awful. I know when I feel really bad it helps to make my world seem a bit smaller.  Take some time out, just focus on looking after yourself.  If you want to PM me, feel free, or I'm on aim as pansyriots.

Keep your head up brother!

Think about someone who's going through tougher situations. Atleast we got this shelter, food and water everyday. Life is precious and rare, try make the most of it. The people you meet in your life are here for a purpose whether they're online or in real life. When you're sad and down, I know it seems like the walls are closing in and eating you up alive but get out there, take your mind off and in time you'll feel better. Then you'll be like 'Haha. Stupid little problems that brings me down." Overcome this obstacle and you'll be fine :) Smile!


Also if you're sad about being trans. Don't worry. We atleast got the opportunity to be who we want to be and in time, the medical science would get better.

Hey Elijah, its really not worth it. I'm not trying to pull an age thing on you but i was very close to trying when i was about seventeen. I m now 38 and so glad i didnt cos there would have been so much i missed out on. You seem like a great guy and eventually whatever it is that seems so big right now will shrink into a size that you can manage, i promise you

Good to hear you are feeling better. Remember, there are people here who have been through similar to what you are experiencing, and want to help.

The hardest things have past already. I'm pretty sure you said you were starting T soon and thats a huge thing to look forward too. when you get down try thinking of the good things that are coming up. Good luck man

Look, it's as they say, nobody wants to die, but sometimes you just can't cope. What can't you cope with?

Besides, don't you want to see all the cool tech in the future? That's what keeps me alive. Besides, I also want to do important scientific research. Don't you have something like that?
