Title: Six days post-op.
Post by: DaddySplicer on June 23, 2010, 05:50:18 PM
Firstly, ow.

Secondly, haha. My nipples are extremely tiny, l-o-l-o-l.

Thirdly, to men who've already been through this, but were delayed or have not yet received hysterectomies.

Have you noticed any re-growth, due to the lack of hysterectomy? I paid a lot for this, and Dr. Medalie did a bang-up job from what I've managed to peek at without becoming nauseous so far. I'd like for this to never have to happen again. Ever. Is there a chance that they could reform?

I haven't had a hysto yet, had top surgery, and haven't had any regrowth.  Granted, I'm only 5 months post-op...  but I figure, if your breast tissue shrank (or at least didn't grow) while on T, and if you stay on the T, you should be OK.

I emphasize the breast tissue part because mine wasn't removed 100%, simply because cis-guys also have some breast tissue, and removing it all would result in a chest that appears unnaturally sunken.  I'm paraphrasing what Dr. Medalie said when he explained why he doesn't like to remove all of the breast tissue...  I had a peri with him; the man does excellent work.

Also:  Bioshock is an awesome game, DaddySplicer  ;D

@ Kvali: Sounds good, mate. Thanks.

@Ender: I'm so glad you get the reference, and yes. It is an amazing game. Yeah, I noticed he didn't get rid of absolutely everything. He worked well around my pectoral muscles, too, so it's pretty well contoured. He knows what he's doing.

I don't have too much to add to this thread except that what I've seen from your profile pic, your results are fantastic. Dr. Medalie certainly did do a bang-up job. 8)

Yeah, my only concern at the moment is that my right seems considerably larger than the left. Swelling is bad right now though, so I'm not too worked up. Thanks though.

I've heard about that happening. I think as you continue to heal things even out.

I want to go to Medalie too. How much did it cost altogether?

Altogether, $5,400, thereabouts. It would have been just a little upwards of six thou, but I opted for out patient (No staying over night) and that cuts costs tremendously.

I had DI.  I woke up and left, went to a hotel for the overnight stay.  It was at a surgery center.
