Title: Aspergers and Voice
Post by: Binks on July 17, 2010, 04:08:07 AM
I am curious if anyone else here has aspergers and if so how have you gone about working on your voice. I have tried finding your female voice spectrograms recording my voice. I have the classic aspie speech patterns an almost monotone like pattern and apparently very little inflection.

I suppose what I am trying to ask here is simply any tips on how to alter the pitch and when I should add inflection upon my speech patterns.

Yush I have aspergers too and the same speech problems. What I find helps a ton is to imitate things on TV or movies or wherever, maybe a funny line or comment or something and try to get the accent and inflection right. It's fun and it helps you know what to say while practicing. I hope that helps! :)

I will try ad play with this a little and see if it helps. Thanks for the input. I am almost at the point of starting a transgender aspie forum just for those of use that are in this situation.
