TRINIDAD, Colo. -- A town nicknamed the "sex change capital of the world" could be losing a doctor who has performed hundreds of the operations.
Dr. Marci Bowers said Monday she is "98 percent sure" she will be moving to the San Francisco area Oct. 1.

Just been reading the Wikipedia entry for this woman.
She will do corrective genital surgery on victims of FGM free of charge. It doesn't get much better that that really.
Another piece tells of an attempt by some church types to cite a study which they claimed, demonstrates that after SRS, people are not successfully treated.
Dr Bowers pointed out that the study actually says that most people, after SRS are very happy.
Apparently these churchy types had decided that, since anyone who has SRS is crazy, their views don't count. :laugh:
Just makes you feel good to know there are people like this around.
