Title: I need some advice BIG TIME!

So I've been cross dressing (not in public) for a while now but only because I feel I'm not convincing enough. I wanna go out and be seen as a woman to feel like a woman to know what it REALLY feels like. I really deep down view myself as a girl but wouldn't really ever go to the length of surgery I'm more just into the feeling of being feminine.
I'm posting today because I figured this community would be able to share with me ways they maintain their beauty and overall look of a woman at the same time being able to go back to normal life when night ends or morning starts depending on the sircumstances. I really need any and all advice you can offer. Clothing, Makeup, Shaving, all of it! Please help me out here I found this really great LGBT bar near my new apartment and I'm tryin to go there tonight and find me some lovin' :-* lol

Yes. You can take a step-by-step course to full crossdressing in public. Interactions between you and others are very important, and you may need to evaluate the outcomes of interaction before taking another step.
In my case, it is usually me who is surpirsed at my work place. Nowadays, people at my workpace accept my crossdressing too well. It took about 3 years that my colleagues no longer show any special reaction to my new fashion items. Last week, I painted my toes with blue manicure, and my little daughter envies it, but my wife does not allow her to do it ::)

Alimeda.
Just do it.
When you walk down the road to the bar, just hold your head high and remember, you don't need anyone's permission to be here.

Try going for a drive dressed, then stop somewhere where there are not many people and go for a short walk. That will start the confidence to venture out in public with more people around.

Find local GBLT community and see if there're other T activities around you. Go there, where it is safe to experiment. In the area where I live I was able to easily locate 4 t-groups even without going outside of our metro area (and I am not in one of those Megapolices like NYC).

Special events like halloween or parties are always nice 'excuses' to go crossdressed.

I might have to try that some time. I have drove around dressed, but I have never stopped at a spot to take a walk. I do walk at night, for exercise, somewhat femininely dressed, and people don't really say or do much. However, walking dressed very femininely might be different. I will have to try it out. ;)

Going for a drive is a great way to start confidence...... I used to go to a different part of town by day , wear large sunglasses and go for a walk or stop at a gas station. Take this in baby steps, femininity is a slow learning curve.

I pull the trash bins out to the curb dressed (I dress @ home) -- lately I've even walked to pick up our mail (about 1/2 block away in front of our children's school) - albeit all of these occasions have been at night, but each time there has been some random neighbor walking their dog, going for a run, or a car that drove by and saw me out and about.
I wonder if they even glanced at the bearded dude in a dress or just went about their business.

I see where you mentioned a Gay Night spot . Thats a great place to start , provided it's not a "Meat Market " like some places I have known . Go to Lesbian bars unless they specificly don't want trans people . I knew on in Houston years ago that was that way .
Dress conservatively when you start out . By that , dress approperately to you're age . Me , I'm near sixty now . I may wear a pair of 3 " heels , knee lenth skirts and a plain top. I seldom wear anything translucent or low cut . My slacks arent hip huggers nor are they revealing . By the way folks , did I tell ya'all I'm full time and I came out back in 1994? hey P-m me if nesesary . I like to share with anyone willing to learn ! ellen
