Hi I have had the same partner since before I transitioned and after nearly one year on T t is getting increasingly difficult to negotiate the relationship. I feel like i have changed a lot as far as emotions go and it seems like she is super extra emotional now. it is getting really difficult to communicate and I'm not sure that we want the same things anymore. For those of you in the same situations, how has it gone for you?

Hey. I also have a female partner. She knew me a long time ago as a female and we re-met just before I began my transition. Since being on T I have become more rational and less emotional and this has brought a new dimension to our interaction and can make disagreements a little harder to navigate.
I have found that keeping in mind that our different hormones affect our emotions a lot and trying to remember how arguments affected me pre-T really helps. It's strange for me now because I'm aware of the emotions but not necessarily being ruled by them. It's a breath of fresh air for me but I'm aware sometimes she finds me cold or harsh.

i met one of my exes during my transition. she was rather confused about her own sexual feelings towards men/women but was very supportive throughout the whole ordeal. however, i have chosen not to take testosterone, so emotional changes from the chemicals were irrelevant in my situation. also not counting in the fact that i had already been binding and dressing like a male. my "transition" really only required a haircut. so she was already seeing me in a gender-questionable light.

Well...I had a female partner. I identified as pansexual then.
We broke up. I started T while with her. I'm gay now. End of story.
