Title: Vascularity and T

Curious, has anybody on T gotten those cool male arm veins? Not excessive of course, that would be freaky but I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. Don't have a photo to show anyone right now but perhaps I can procure one on request.

I don't know since I'm not on T but I assume it would happen since guys get prominent arm veins because they have higher blood pressure and T can raise it.

I'm not on T myself, but I read on a guy's blog that he's got really visible, neat veins because his blood pressure's raised. There were images and stuff, but since the blog's in Swedish I doubt linking would be of much use.

having worked in industry with lots of men and women I have to say that those arm veins are a definite male thing but just what causes them I don't know... the high bp might do it...thank goodness I've always had nice slimmish arms and since the estrogen chased away all the hair I can go bare armed without worry.

The veins down my forearms, especially the left side, stick out *way* more than they used to(I'm about 7mos I think). The veins over the tops of my hands have too, though I'm not particularly excited about that. :p

Definitely! My blood pressure hasn't gone up at all but I've got those veins (not visible in my profile pic because I'm on a bulking cycle right now and operating at higher levels of bodyfat than when I'm on a cutting cycle)...they're especially prominent right after working out and in warmer weather. I think it has more to do with the amount of muscle you're carrying around, but I'm not really sure...

The veins showing doesn't have to do with high blood pressure it has to do with the layer of subcutaneous fat that estrogen lends you disappearing and your muscles therefor being closer to your skin, and if you have solid muscle your veins ride on top of that muscle therefore being really close to your skin and sometimes sticking out.
I'm not ripped but right after I work out or if I get hot like if I'm walking around or doing stuff outside then my arm veins become really prominent. My hands and feet always have veins sticking out now. I'm 8 months on T but have had the prominent veins since probably about 3-4 months.

Thanks for pointing out that it's the subcutaneous fat redistribution. I hate how people generally assume it's cause of raised bp. It's not.
I've always had veiny arms, since I was like 13. Hasn't really changed on T a whole lot but I guess I didn't have alot of fat there to take away. My friend's arms have gone from...round and non veiny to skinny and veiny on T and he's not scrawny either. Pretty cool if you ask me.

I was almost outed at a gay bar by my lack of veins. A guy I was flirting with couldn't get over how I had no prominent veins on my arms. I was trying to figure out a way to withdraw my arm while acting like it was no big thing and still keep his attention. Fortunately he was so self possessed he moved back to himself and it was all right. lol
I'm glad to hear that I will hopefully get some more obvious veins down there in a month or so.

Im not on T but I've got some cool male wrist, hand, and feet veins.
Lol.
I've always wanted them, and have gotten them to be prominent by losing wieght and working out.
:)
Im hoping bicep and forearm ones will come in sometime.

I have some on my hands and the underside of my forearms that will stick out if it's hot or I'm exerting myself. Not to the point of being completely masculine looking, but more masculine than the girls in my PE class. I'd love for T to make them more noticeable.

Oh yeah veins pop out even more since starting T. Especially during the heat. I get that cool bicep vein. Looks awesome when I flex.

Yeah, I just started noticing that recently. The veins on the back of my arms are really starting to pop out. I'm glad to hear it's not about blood pressure. :)

I've always had the arm veins but I have more now and they stick out more. I'm not sure about the BP theory since mine hasn't risen.

Not necessarily a male thing, many female athletes have them as well. So does Angelina Jolie--Huge ones!!!
