Title: Once your marker changes to F, which insurance services stop being covered?

I know that some transmen have problems with hystorectomies because they've already had their legal marker changed to M, and insurance doesn't cover that for men. Same with how my insurance doesn't cover progesterone with a male marker, but I can only imagine they would with a female marker (and then probably not cover avodart, for example, though I wouldn't really need it post-orchi.)
I'm guessing it won't be a problem, considering women need to know their testosterone levels just like men do, and no surgeries are covered MTF anyway.

I never had a problem. My current doctor wanted a PSA test run , but the computer would not let her because I am tagged 'female'. So she had to out me to the blood people.
I did winded up paying for my own Orchie.

I have Medicare and TRICARE for Life. The insurance contractor's computer bounced the entire lab bill when PSA was included. Being over age 70, PSA is no longer recommended. One less problem.
You're right on the female items. Insurance does pay for the annual mammogram and triennial pelvic exam. (PAP smears don't work for us.)

When I got my F Geico gave me a discount on my car insurance. As far as medical insurance, it all depends on your coverage. My primary care physician insisted I get a mammogram AND prostate screening. She was kinda apologetic about the prostate screening though...
Kaiser also covered all my HRT...
