I'm sharing this as it has happened to a friend of mine.

Dawn is a sixty-six (66) year old Transgender woman. She is a dear friend of mine who was arrested on September 4, 2010. She was charged to be in violation of:

Section 18.2-57 - Assault and batter of Norfolk Police Officer R.D. Glaubke knowing or having reason to know that such person was a law enforcement officer, as defined in subsection E of paragraph 18.2-57, engaged in public duties.

The following description of events was given to me on Monday, September 6, 2010 by Dawn based upon her memory of the events of that evening and court documents.

on both sides of the Atlantic I fear the police are becoming increasingly more brutal in how the deal with people in general....

And as govt income drops (taxation collapse), you can expect the cops to get more savvy with fines implementation

Sadly this story has been seen several times involving people who are and aren't trans. Police seem to be all too ready to turn to force in situations where it's not needed.
