Ever wonder how producers of Fox & Friends would treat an on-air guest who is transgendered? Well it seems like we now know the answer: choose to depict a lot of b-roll of the topic at hand (in this case the LA subway system), ignoring the visual of the transgendered guest (in this case, Kymberleigh Richards, Governance Councilmember at Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Host Brian Kilmeade leads the interview, which can be viewed below.

When first introduced by Kimeade, the host appears to be a bit confused, saying "Now joining us, Kymberleigh Richards, he, uh, she is a public and legislative affairs director for Southern California transit advocates."

I'm not even going to allow that footage to be played on my computer. I can just guess the amount of hate that story is generating.

I think the 'he' reference was an honest mistake. He quickly corrected himself. Now, since I have just defended someone at Fox I need to go throw up.

I watched it earlier and I'm sorry, but I have to agree with Dana.

The interviewer seemed more interested in the issue. The woman, quite frankly, sounded like a typical civil servant, saying a lot but actually nothing.

Basically, some city spent a load on some new ticketing system but it doesn't work.

Wow, when i heard the voice even I was taken a back, usually TS women try to at least sound fem, they dont always do it but the result is better then straight out male with no effort which is what i heard....

I agre with all the last three comments. Kilmeade acquitted himself well, the directorial decision to minimize the incongruance between the visual and the voice was probably sound no matter what side of the issue you are on, and yes, frankly, it doesn't sound like Ms Richards has put much effort into voice modification which sadly only fuels the haters.

Yeah it did seem kind of honest the "he/she" thing. Hard to really tell.

Watching the clip vs. reading what it was about was much less dramatizing.

Although I did notice that they did not show her face very often but instead chose to show the subway scenes a lot even while she was talking.
