Excuse my overuse of exclamation points. I'm in what I like to refer to as "a sh-t situation." I've been living as a guy for as much as possible without hormones or the ability to pass. I've been trying my hardest to get people to use male pronouns and my male name at least around me for years. I had a job for 4 years that I was laid off from in January. I'm still...technically unemployed, BUT a friend of mine who is a manager of a pet hotel needed some extra hands for a while and asked me to come in. While at this job I was known strictly by my male name and had the manager on my side with that stuff. The down side is, of course that the other people I work with don't call me "he" which is a problem for me but I'm not expecting to be there for long.
I'm not sure if I'm going to be seeing a therapist because of how long I've been living as male (to varying degrees) but I'm hoping that if I were to ask for "the letter" I can use this working experience towards RLT/RLE. I'm also still stuck trying to find an endocrinologist that I can afford without insurance that will work based on informed consent.

all full time stuff has to count to show your determinatioin. keep accurate records and if/when the job finishes ask the manager to write you a reference to show to therapists and to any other managers for jobs you may try for.
shame about the co-workers refusing to accept you though.
