A group of 21 protesters lay down in the middle of the Oval Wednesday afternoon, taking a stand against hate in Montana.
John Blake, co-founder of The University of Montana chapter of Montana Equality Now, said MEN organized the protest in response to hate crimes against the lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual community. v
"We're hoping to draw people's attention to the correlation between the political discourse of a group and the social discourse of a group and how that relates to safety," he said.
