High school students who attended the Board of Education meeting this past week were prepared with impassioned speeches urging the board's support of a new policy against bullying, harassment and intimidation.
When they arrived for the 6 p.m. meeting Wednesday, they were pleasantly surprised to learn that the policy, which now protects against bullying, harassment and intimidation based on sexual orientation and gender identity, had been unanimously approved earlier in the afternoon.
