Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger should probably be glad that he is not running for reelection. Today, he vetoed the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Prisoner Safety Act because he felt that the bill was too similar to a bill he vetoed last year. The bill was introduced by Assemblymember Tom Ammiano of San Francisco and received bipartisan support. It was designed to protect a vulnerable group of people within California's population, and no we do not mean celebrities who seem to be getting out of jail with ease. The bill was also co-sponsored by Equality California, the Transgender Law Center and the National Center for Lesbian Rights.

According to a study done by UC Irvine that was done at the behest of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, sixty-nine percent of transgender inmates report sexual victimization in jail.

It's truly shocking that this man continually stands in the way of this vitally needed legislation. Let's see I think this makes the third time he has vetoed this bill? I for one, cannot wait until he's booted out the door arm in arm with Meg Whitman and back to the movie set where maybe, he'll finally get terminated! :icon_pistoles:

Come on, Jerry Brown!!!

He is a lame duck really burning brightly as he is going down in flames!!  Unfortunately, it looks great to the people who will vote for Whitman, he is doing nothing constructive about the economy and financial state of the state, but the people this appeals to have already decided that the problems are all the fault of the "damn ->-bleeped-<-s, ->-bleeped-<-s and dykes".  We keep their minds off of the dunderheaded pettiness that is going on or not going on in the state executive office and legislature. It could be that he was afraid it might apply to his pleasure in screwing all of us who work for the State and get him a taste of real life.

What did you expect from a Non-Native-born Repubican.  Anything to stop our evil agenda.  :police:

Give me a break, or better yet let's give California a break from the Timidnator.

Yes I do know that there are two words deliberately misspelled.
