Title: Awkward question
Post by: insideontheoutside on October 02, 2010, 08:13:44 PM

My last awkward thread is dead and buried so I thought I'd start a new one since I'm genuinely curious as to how (trans) guys feel about this ...
Does size matter to you? And yes I'm talking about THAT size. First does it matter to you personally (as in what you got - and no, I'm not asking specially what you got lol) and second, if your partner is a cismale, does it matter to him?

Size does matter to me. I really want to be able to penetrate with the growth I get. It doesn't need to be huge or anything but a few inches would be great if I can get it.

It matters to me. I want to be able to have something that can at least penetrate someone else--so I guess 3 or 4 inches hard. XD

I'm pre-T and I'm maybe an inch already. Additional length and girth would be awesome but it's not on the very top of my list. I can already penetrate using what I've got (figured a way out) so that's not an issue to me. I don't have a partner currently and probably would not be dating a cismale so I can't answer the last question.

Meh. I don't really give a ->-bleeped-<-zu one way or another. Size down there at the moment is the LEAST of my worries. Right now I'm more worried about my face and moobs.

Agreed, but it's not as important as fixing my chest and overall appearance.

I'm disappointed in the growth I've gotten so far. I've read that it can take a couple of years--or more--to get full growth, but I'm over a year and a half and don't have much hope. Regardless, it's not going to be a regular penis, so I keep telling myself that it doesn't matter anyway.
My ex was kind of freaked out about the changes in my...well, down there. Don't know whether it was the prominence of that organ or the fact that it didn't respond to what he used to do to it. He sure as heck didn't want to change his patterns. I guess I was starting to smell and taste different, too. (Makes me shudder to think about it now...because I feel like I don't ever want anyone messing around down there again, ever. I suppose I will change eventually.) Anyway, he didn't come right out and say that he was bothered, but I knew.

I apologise and feel free not to answer,
But what sort of size do you guys get? I realise that corrective surgery for FtM isn't very good. I also read that males have a thrust response while females have a 'passive' response. When I was biologically male I never had a thrust response :embarrassed:. My wife would be rider and I was, the ridee? Sorry I don't mean to cause any offence. Just interested.

I definitely have a thrust response :o. I've had it even before I knew what it was for ???. As for size, just on T or with surgery? As with bioguys though, some guys get lucky, some aren't so fortunate. I've heard the general "rule of thumb" is to expect the size of your thumb ;D (not sure if that's flaccid or erect or even pumped), but I even think that's a bit optimistic.

I haven't started hormone therapy but hope for some growth for penetration. I have to agree with some of the other guys that my overall body appearance and chesticles are a bigger worry for me. As of right now I don't even want any bottom surgery.

Heh, same here.
I'm not real worried about size right now. It'd be nice to be able to penetrate one day though.

Size does matter to me- it's kindof the elephant in the room as far as my fears about transitioning go. Not that it's likely I can anyway, not with my cardiovascular health.
And I third the thrust response thing- my "instinct" if you'll call it that made my first few sexual encounters really awkward.

Yup add me to that response as well. Even laying on my back I still want to do it lol.
@CindyJames I think it works the same way as bio guys - genetics I'm sure can play a part ... in other words lots of different sizes. I'm sure there's an "average" but I'm not sure what the average is. Personally I think I lucked out in that department as I've got as much as some slightly smaller bio guys when not excited about anything and enough to get the job done otherwise.

I definitely have the thrust response.. and I'm about 9 months on T and I am about an inch to an inch and a half flaccid and between and inch and a half and 2 inches probably erect.
I hope to get maybe another inch just on T and then i want bottom surgery. I'll probably get a release/metoidioplasty first and then see what the situation on phalloplasty is. If I get a phallo I want a good 6-7 inches haha.

In an ideal world, yes it matters. Would be nice to have at least 5" if not more, to play with.
But since I had an invisible dick before (yes, truly teeny!) and got decent growth, which translated into a very small dick post-op, the fact that I actually HAVE a penis, even though very very small (toddlers are probably more well endowed, LOL), I'm thrilled to have what I have. And after seeing pics on the net and Howard Stern's small penis contest, I know that lots and lots of cis men have very small penises as well. I'm short, too. I deal. At my age, who cares? LOL I'm thrilled beyond belief to have balls and no vag.
If someone could swap out my junk with what your average man has, without having to have surgery or take antirejection drugs, ie magic wand, sure I'd opt for larger junk. But it aint gonna happen, so I'm realistic and accepting of what I have. And thankful that i was able to get it.

ok well I don't feel the need to penetrate with MY dick, but I think that is because I know it probably wouldn't be very pleasurable, being so small, and also that I feel like it wouldn't have an effect on my partner.
I haven't had much growth yet on T, but It does matter to me, I wan't to be able to have enough growth to be able to be 'suckable' if you know what i mean, and I would like to be large enough to be able to grab at something at least.
BUT testosterone has kinda changed my mindset of my junk, I feel more confident about it somehow, and I think/ am hoping that as I pass more and more on T, I will be able to "own" it, you know what I mean.. like "yea, I'm a guy with girl junk and a small dick, but I'm still sexy"
lol
also.. what is thrust response?

I'm not fussed at all, I'm a bottom. Sure in an ideal world I'd prefer there was a penis there than a vag but in practical terms it makes not a blind bit of difference to me.

Not to get too graphic, but this instinct kind of makes certain sexual positions awkward for me - specifically, me being on top being penetrated doesn't work really well, because what my body wants to do is useless and/or counterproductive in that position.

On thrust response - I've never known it any other way. As a kid, my form of masturbation was humping/thrusting into things. I didn't know that what I had "down there" had any sexual function whatsoever. In other words, middle school was awkward.
Size wise, I'd like something more than what I've got, but realistically, I expect to always need some help for penetration.

Oh my. I just remembered an awkward incident from a few years ago, when was with my first boyfriend.
We were making out somewhere, which was pretty awesome, and I had never made out with anyone before so I got pretty excited. After I went home we started texting about it, and he asked me why I kept thrusting my hips while we were kissing. I honestly had no idea I was doing it. :o
I guess any girls that he had made out with before me didn't have that thrust response, otherwise he wouldn't have asked me about it.

thrust reflex? oddly enough this is the first i've heard of it but since i've been in tune with my sexuality i've had it. something sexy on tv? it happens. "cuddling" with my ex? it happened. i guess i never thought about it being a male thing before

haha, this was me exactly when i was in middle school. i had no idea what part down there was supposed to feel good or what to do with it, so i mostly just went around humping my pillows/side of the mattress when i got horny.

I had no idea that there was actually a name for this. It kinda makes sense to me now though. I remember when my boyfriend and I were starting to date, (I wasn't out or obvious yet) we would, y'know, be getting intimate, and I would just start thrusting, even if I was on bottom. He thought it was funny, sexy even, and we just never thought about it after that because it was just one of those things I did. And when I came out and he started seeing me as a male, I remember him saying one time, "Maybe that's why you thrust a lot; essentially, you're a dude." So yeah, I found this funny.

Before i was on T i didnt care what kind of growth i got down there. I think I was more into my voice change, facial structure, facia hair, & muscle change to really care about that. Once it started growing I became more interested. I'm not sure how big mine is hard, it depends on how horny I am, but it is big enough to penetrate, which is awesome! I heard it grows for about 4 years and I'm just over 1 year. I would like it to get a little bit bigger though. As far as a thrust reflex, I've always had one. I honestly never realized that was different on males and females, but i never thought about it. I guess that would make sense.
