When you are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender and a teenager, you often feel alone and isolated as the world pumps out horrible messages that tell you that being queer is not right. It is hard to turn to someone for help because you are afraid that you will be judged and you will be hurt again. There has been a lack of voices on the other side pushing back hard saying that being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender is alright. Even for many who search for voices to help them out in the long run, finding those voices can be difficult to find, and even difficult to integrate into as many within the LGBT Community have their own set of beliefs as to what it means to be lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.

It is time for groups like GetEqual and the Human Rights Campaign to step it up and really push to help our most vulnerable- those young teens who do not have any real support. The LGBT Community must push back hard in order to make it acceptable to be lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.
