Title: Starting out

Hey
I'm not sure what to put here other than it's nice to meet you all. From my brief scan of the forums, this seems like a very friendly place.
A little about me: I'm a 23 year old biological female from Denver, CO. I'm currently finishing up a degree in biology and working as a jeweler. I also like playing viola, long walks on the beach, and getting caught in the rain. And that's just about everything interesting about me. If you'd like to know more, just ask.
I have always been focused on fitting in. Because of this, most of my friends are your typical girly girls and my mother's idea of a good present is frilly underwear and mascara, so I don't really have anyone to talk to about these sorts of things. I do not hate being as I am now, so I am not working towards hormones/surgery/etc. at this point. However, I do feel ready to stop playing and be me.
I am looking forward to getting to know you all and figuring out where to start with all this. I definitely feel like I'm stumbling around blindly with this, so I appreciate any ideas on how to feel more comfortable.

Hi Chase
welcome to nicest forum on the internet.
just ask? OK: can we see some pix of your jewellery? And even though I've always been a classical music fan I must admit I can't remember ever hearing any work for violas so I'll look on Youtube later.

Hi Chase, :icon_wave:
Welcome to our little family. Over 3700 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.
Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams. Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.
But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother. :icon_hug:

Thank for the warm welcome you all. Honestly, I'm too new to even know what questions to ask. At this point I am still daydreaming about boxers, but it's nice to have somewhere to start.
I love what I do, and I'll happily show off a few pieces. I apologize for the large size. If it is a hassle, please let me know, and I will find some way to scale them. I don't have much newer stuff on hand, but here are some older pieces.
Enamel broach made for a mask assignment back in high school art class.

Garnet necklace made for a friend of mine. (And no, the stone is not symmetrical.)

Forged bracelet
