um alright well its been about 17 days since i ordered a softpack from good vibrations and it still hasnt arrived. i read the shipping info on the site and it says it should take 4-11 days. i live in Massachusetts if that makes any difference. has anyone else ordered from them? how long did it take? oh and i checked the online tracking thing, and it still says 'will ship shortly', thats what its status has been since i ordered it.
thanks =)
thanks =)

Check your email? I had the same issue - turned out I had an email sitting in my inbox saying they were on backorder - so the order was put off for a few weeks.

in case it turns out they are out of stock, there's a couple more pages which sell them, e.g. toolshed toys.

I'm pretty certain what is going on here is that STP-Fitz is requiring more and more GV Soft Packers to meet their ever growing consumer demands (nobody can currently keep those in stock either). It's not a coincidence, STP-Fitz is the main cause of the current, seemingly chronic back-order status on all retailer's stocks of the GV Soft Packers.
Either those retailers need to start upping their own inventories of the same to meet these new ultra-large demands from just one of their consumers so that their stocks are not completely and prematurely wiped out every month, or STP-Fitz needs to do the honorable and respectable thing and secure a special order deal directly from the manufacturer in order to get their massive quantities of GV Soft Packers filled and WITHOUT going through retailers, thus straining or else totally halting availability of the same for the rest of us.
It's just getting way out of hand. This has been going on intermittently for months with these Packers from what I see going around the net on the subject and it needs to be resolved and soon because it's only going to get worse as STP-Fitz gets more and more in-demand.
Hope you get your Packer soon anyway. I've just ordered mine, but I know I'll not be seeing it for some time yet... :-\

Their site shipping policy told me that when I ordered.. my product would come in 1 to 6 weeks. They left it pretty open ended.

Have an update for you here... if you ordered the 4" Caramel, they don't have them. There's something going on at the manufacturer affecting their availability for all retailer's and re-retailers right now (according to ToolShedToys.com's STP-Fitz page, confirmed by GV over the phone as well) so you might just want to give them a call and switch to the Vanilla instead and it will ship immediately, otherwise you'll be waiting for the 4" Caramel for ages.
I emailed GV to request that my previous order to be altered to reflect the 4" Vanilla instead, but they canceled it. So I called the helpline and the nice guy there sorted it all out for me (kept my -$5.00 discount and 15% off deal) and also comped my shipping for the trouble after confirming they were indeed in stock (the 4" Vanilla) and said it'll ship today.
Give them a call, they'll help you out!
Also, I only ordered the Caramel because I THOUGHT it was just a slightly darker Caucasian-tan, but it's really closer to medium brown... wouldn't work for me anyway (GV's pictures are WAY off of the actual colors). Just going to add a little of my mom's Bare Essentials powder stuff to my cornstarch and it'll be perfect! :P

oh really magnus? hm maybe i will do that. god im so nervous about phones though, especially something like that ^//^
will it work if i just email them to switch it over to vanilla?
and yeah, i had emailed them a couple days ago. they said it was on backorder and would take at max like 10 days to get shipped to them. so adding the max days for them to get the product, then the max days it takes for them to ship to me, its still been longer. like 23 days, and it should have taken about 21 max with the backorder. -shrug- but after what you said, magnus, about the color, i think ill switch to vanilla, and if that doesnt work out ill get a refund and order somewhere else :P
Update: well i just checked the site and its says now 'sailor soft pack' formaly gv softpack. err, is this the different 'newer' one someone was talking about in a thread here (emil's thread about converting a gv soft pack in to a stp) and saying it wasnt working right really like it should? it must be a new one, in which case i dont think ill want it now since i want to convert into a stp =(

Wow that's crazy that it takes so long. I got a GV soft packer from early2bed.com and got it pretty quickly along with a harness. Then again early2bed are really good about fast/discreet shipping. You may wanna think about looking there if you have issues with shipping from other companies.

Swapping it out to the Vanilla would be wise. Check out what pigment it really is here (http://www.toolshedtoys.com/details.php?prodId=1145&category=&secondary=124&keywords=) and here (http://www.toolshedtoys.com/details.php?prodId=1061&category=&secondary=124&keywords=), versus GV's picture (http://www.goodvibes.com/display_product.jhtml?id=13BC01) of the same. Very big difference! And yeah, you can email them instead (I had to call because they messed up and canceled my order rather than merely simply changing it to the Vanilla).
I don't think the design has changed, that packer could have merely been defective or else the silicone has always been in the scrotum all along and nobody ever encountered it before then. Even if not, it will still work as an STP (STP-Fitz uses these same ones too and they turn out fine). I'm planning on modifying a pair of skin-tone nylons to create a sort of sheath/covering for mine (with holes in either end for the STP of course), so it's more close to the appropriate color on the shaft and to also help protect it from chafing/getting nasty or sticky and so, perhaps if that silicone is an issue that will put a stop to it.
Oh and as a side note... I'm going to be making my STP similar to the STP-Fitz, figured out how it's done and what's needed and I also figured out how not to end up with a huge hole in the packer's head too. I'll post up a how-to and what's needed kind of a thing here if it works out for me. Just in case you might be interested in that. 8)

I ordered another vanilla one from Good Vibes this month and got it in a few days--less than a week.
I wish they had a "ruddy" option. The vanilla is a bit too white, and the caramel looks to be too tan. I was thinking of giving caramel a try, actually, but now I'm glad I didn't. I would still be waiting.

I got my Vanilla yesterday and I'm relieved they swapped it out from the Caramel. It's almost exactly my overall skin tone (just a smidge lighter), apart from the fact that the galns IS supposed to be a slightly darker, more pink/purplish brown (like the nipples) but I'm very pleased with it.
I intend to get a pair of nylons and mod them to fit over mine and the STP parts in a sort of protective sleeve anyway (I plan on getting at least a year, if not two out of it so I have to keep it pristine – no chaffing on my drawers getting tears or else turning blue! lol) so those are going to be the exact right color on everything... except for the head. I'm just going to mix up some powder makeup until I get a good color going on (tan, pink, red a dab of blue/purple), put it in some cornstarch and then apply it JUST to the head. Eventually it'll stain the right color and be totally perfect.
But, these things are SO awesome that I'm almost hesitant to "destroy" it by removing the silicone rod. Key word being almost...
I should have ordered two, darnit!

i emailed them and asked if they could switch over my order to vanilla. they said that they cancelled the order all together, my card wont be charged, and to just restart the order for vanilla if you want it, basically. but yeah, i might look around a bit now based on answers on this thread, but i may just get the vanilla on good vibes after all, i wanna look through the toolshed site again first though in case. thanks for the responses though guys, helps a lot.

They did the same thing to me... that's why I had to call them, because I had discounts riding on that order which wouldn't transfer for a new one. If you had discounts on your order, I'd call them to get that rectified. If not, go ahead and order the Vanilla anew.
As to the packer itself, if you intend to try out latex and nipple style STP device (or any form of soft/flexible tubing at all at some point) you should go for the GV. It has a hollow space which is currently occupied by the silicone rod, so when you take that out and replace it with the STP with soft/flexible tubing it WON'T "clamp down" and cut off the flow much, if at all. That makes the conversion process for those types of STP's crazy easy. If you want to use firm tubing, then it doesn't really matter which packer you get to house it.
I most definitely intend to post up a "how to" on that because there's so little information out there on it, it'd be callus of me not to. But, it's likely going to take me about 7 – 12 days to post it up. The STP parts alone have to cure together with the adhesive for 72 hours before I can proceed with the other stuff, then it's got to be put together, then I've got to of course test it out (don't want to post this up until I know it's going to work out 100%), then upload pictures, write it up and then post it up. It'll definitely get done ASAP though, I promise.

I did pretty much everything with my STP and GV Packer conversion today, except for the fact that no adhesive I've tried will bond Silicone (the Bottle Nipple) with the Latex Tubing... very frustrating. Once I've found something to do that I'll be ready to post up the how-to on it. I'm thinking either JB Weld or some kind of Epoxy. Heck, I may end up just having to go and get the Latex Bottle Nipple and ditch the Silicone ones - the stuff I tried first bonds to that, just not the dang Silicone!!!
Just a progress report for you lol.
But no, I've not tried the STUD sorry.

From hearing all the racket about how good the gv packer is compared to the mr limpy and mr right, I decided to give it a try.
I just ordered my vanilla small today. I wanted caramel, cause im not white and the vanilla is like a very very white color, but I've seen some reviews that the caramel is not a tan/mocha but more of a purplish brown. So I decided on vanilla cause I seen a youtube video where the guy only had it for two months and the color changed drastically to a more realisitic tan after wearing it with dark tight undies(the dye rubbed off).
Im hoping this will happen with me cause I don't wear white or light colored undies.
I want to convert it into an STP, I've seen a few videos on youtube about how to do it.
I guess ill have to order a travelmate too? How much are they?
I hope mine ships quickly.
Oh, also I have a ftm STUD from the gear guy. Got it about a yr ago when they still had the mocha mr limpy available. I loved it from the start, the strap holds it well and is a great idea. Imo, its worth it cause the medicine spoon device that they used works perfectly for me. I even thought about ordering a new one cause they have those new vanilla colored ones instead of the pink. And they offer the smaller 3.5" version compared to goodvibes 4" or w/e it is.

i got my travelmate from whenyagottago.com (sorry if im not supposed to post links) 15$ :/ eh, but youll only need one really go hey its worth it.
and yeah, the STUD would be my next choice. i ordered a softpack from babeland for like 15$ or something like that. it had the 3.5'' option which was good. so i figured id go for this cheaper version, since i already have the travelmate and ill probably concert it to an stp. but yeah my next choice if i were to ever get another one or w.e. would be the stud, it looks like a good one! and is, from what youre saying :P

Now to which color, I didn't know they offered 2 colors, white and blue. I think they're the only site that sells them.
Wow $15, that's a bit pricey but worth it I guess. Is it durable? How long does it last?
I've heard some claims that the gv packer by itself can be used as play.
Yeah itd be a good smaller alternative. And you can pick and choose packer size, tubing, and receptacle now.
Also since you already have the my limpy maybe you could buy the BUD which is the device put into the STUD and make it yourself?

hm i guess color is personal preference. I just chose the clear cause i figured it wouldnt be so noticable as a stp. with the blue though its easier to find if you lose or something :P but yeah its like a hard good-quality plastic, should last forever basically, unless you accidently melt it or something lol
and yeah, im still undecided on the stp thing, but im not in too much a rush. and i dont think its a mr.limpy i got, is it? its just called soft pack on the babland site. -shrug-
but yeah, i wonder when theyll be out with the BUD device?

GV by itself is too limp for play, travelmate will make it better. Hvae fun figuring things out. It works okay.. but def looking at getting something meant for play.
