Does T make you grow taller? Also I have heard that if baldness runs in your family than you have a high chance of getting it as well if you're on T.

There are some guys that claim they have in fact grown a bit on T, but this usually isn't the case. If you're older (well out of your teens), chances are your bones have fused already. Though some guys were 20 or 22 or so and swear they grew an inch or two, so genes may play a factor as to when your bones fuse. Baldness can happen for sure. It's not even safe to just look at the males on your mother's side like how bio-guys would check for inheritance of baldness, because most transguys have 2 X chromosomes, you also have to look at your father's side. So basically, you have double the chances to inherit baldness.

Yeah even if you have 2 X chromosomes you only EVER use one at a time Any extras beyond the 1st are shutdown.

I started T when I was 19, 20 now, and I grew an inch so far at 5 months on T. Odd little fact...when my height had a growth spurt, my dick also got bigger at the same time. A guy I know who's 24 grew an inch as well. so it just depends.

On the balding....it's whatever's in your genes. I'm not concerned about it, I don't really care. If I go bald I go bald.

Actually, I've been told that looking at your male relatives re. baldness doesn't help. It certainly seems to be unpredictable with cisguys, let alone us - dad started receding in late 30s/early 40s (I think), whereas my brother's hair started thinning in his early 20s, and one of my housemates started to lose his at 18!

Although I hear rosemary oil's good for preventing/helping to overcome hair loss. Also helps with sensitive scalps and otherwise makes a good leave-in conditioner ^_^

I think if men on your mums side of the family have gone bald, you will too.
So thats me buggered if its true lol.
Even so, my dads receeding and he had a thick head of hair.

And your right some genes ARE expressed about 0.02% however they are only minor genes that are also found on the Y chromosome aswell mostly condusive to height and other minor growth factors

The gene that happens to cause male pattern baldness As far as I'm aware isn't related to the androgen receptor per-say but is related to somthing else that increases the scalps responsiveness to DHT.

it makes the most sense to me anyway that you'd only grow maybe another inch or two if you were in your teens or real early 20's then i wouldn't even know to say that's from the testosterone or not. there's apparently an argument going on about baldness but i thought it came from both mom and dads side being the xx chromosomes so I like many trans guys are pretty much screwed :'( empathizing with Kyril, I'm going to look ridiculous bald too! but my plan is either rogaine or hats. maybe that helps? :-\

yeah, if I go bald despite Rogaine, I'll be one of those guys who's never seen without a well-worn hat. Indiana Jones style. Or Kenny Chesney.

oh we're doing bandanas now too? Terry Hogan, Dee Snyder, every rapper. almost every famous man but i can't think of the name haha
